The commute back in forth to work is causing us to relocate & sell affordably. We purchased in 2016 for $12000, and have done several things to the place. We have torn up the ugly mango colored carpet to reveal the hardwood floors, though they are waiting to be sanded to remove the black glue, the stain & floor sealer has already been purchased & will remain with the house for the new owners. The BR floors could use some sort of upgrade as previous to our purchasing, ply wood has been laid down & has started to break up & away. We have painted it, but as you can see- the look is not good~ If you lay carpet yourself the cost is about $300, so not bad for getting away from paying rent every month! Also any paint we have left over, will remain- NOTE: We are still doing some painting & freshening up around the house. The largest expense the home requires is a new roof, but if you know someone or can do it yourself the expense is totally worth it’s weight in gold… Since the house is rather small it shouldn’t take too long to replace the roof. We have also moved kitchen appliances around allowing for more storage & space within the kitchen, as you can see by the makeshift counter there is plenty of space for actual cabinets/cupboards, one could even add uppers! The house is one BR with a side room that could be used for a second BR (no closet), office, den, kitchen nook, walk in pantry or whatever your heart desires. The house has gas stove, fridge, washer, drier, window ac, wall mounted electric heater, & wall mounted tv in BR that is optional to buyer at no extra cost. The property is currently homesteaded with taxes running about $75.00/year. Utilities (electric, water, sewer, trash) runs around $160.00. There is also a shed, water accessory storage cabinet & garden work bench that stays with the property. The back yard is primarily enclosed by wood privacy fence.
