Inappropriate language between kids. Bullying and unsafe environment.

I believe that this school is the ideal middle school in my opinion because it brought me happiness just by going to school on the week days. The teachers are very nice and made students feel as if they were to come first.there is also various beneficial after school programs,sports,and electives that can improve your knowledge and give you more experience towards a specific subject.

Hawthorne has had a bad image in the past, but it has done wonders to turn it around. There are many programs in place dedicated to supporting students and their needs. Some of these programs include after-school tutoring, therapy, intervention specialists, ELD support, AP classes, academies, etc. The school district also offers teachers regular professional development (some required and some optional). The majority of teachers on this campus are passionate educators who truly care about the students. For the most part, the students at the school are happy to be here and ready to learn.

Not so good of a reputation so it was scary to enroll my son here but it’s actually a great school. My son has told me he gets along very well and very little to none bullying you see. I’ve met the teachers they are very nice and so is the staff. Teachers are strict though but it’s a good school.

I am very concerned for mine and any child’s safety at this school. My child got bullied, called racial slurs and was harassed by the soccer team. I am very disappointed in the school system not protecting my child in need especially when reaching out for help. There needs to be repercussions for the actions of the soccer team. Parents please keep your children safe!!!
