I graduated recently and had a great overall experience. Rules and expectations were strict but fair. The classes were challenging but not overwhelming. Above all the teachers were kind and welcoming, if you scratched their back, they would scratch yours. Sure some students were mean, but that is not unique to this school, and there were of course teachers I will not miss, but all of that is easily forgivable because of the rest of the staff who consistently went above and beyond expectations. Teachers not only challenged me to do my best, but communicated that I was important, and that they were glad that I was in their classroom. The teachers would want you to make them laugh, but when they said jump, you said "how high?" Many people here are old fashioned, and do not put up with disrespect. Getting on a teacher's good side was easy, follow their expectations. If you were consistently late to class and the teacher called you out on it, that is not their fault, show up to class on time! It is all about prioritizing. Classes were never too big and the student to teacher ratio was higher than I would have liked, but not terrible by any means. Overall a fantastic school within a good community. The teachers and classes will not only prepare you for college, but will also teach you important life skills like respect, prioritizing, critical thinking, empathy, and more.
