I grew up in neighboring town of Norman, much larger schools. All separate elementary, Middle and High School. I have nothing but positive things to say about Washington School system!!! The extra buildings are all amazing. New play grounds, new elementary gym that also has a stage for elementary productions. They have an onsite nurse and across the street a licensed physicians assistant. Truly is an amazing community. I am able to message the teachers for my kids and get a reply within an hour or two . My middles child is autistic and has an AID. They accommodate him and allow him to participate in show performances everything. My husband also attended the school. The teachers know these kids and care about them. I have never heard about anything inappropriate,or questionable. I will never move bc my children attending this school is a blessing. My eldest is 14 and a reading disability, he was given then helped that he needed. He wasn't embarrassed to admit his problem, bc he knew he would not be shamed . The athletics is another huge plus. All these kids most of their parents went to school together so bullying is not an issue, with the families talking about the issues and the best way to move forward.

The school doesn’t put up with much of your not supost to do it it’s not going to happen

Washington Elementary was a good experience but middle school was ridiculous. There was zero parent information or communication. Any time there was a parent teach conference it was announced day of. There is a ridiculous attendance policy that does not excuse ANY absence and threatens to fail a child that has straight A’s for going to the orthodontist. If Washington is trying to lower enrollment because of overcrowding by employing terrible administration— their plan is working.
