5/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageMy three children attend AHS now and we love the school. Plenty of activities and learning opportunities for each individual l. The school has a great “Patriot” spirit and the kids look very happy at all the social events for homecoming, sports, charity Powder Puff, etc.Parent Review5mo ago - Jack Jouett Middle School

2/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageIt is a good school and most of the teachers are nice, but the dress code is strict and the food is bad. They do have microwaves though so that is nice.Student Review2y ago - Mary Carr Greer Elementary School

1/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageMy daughter game to Greer in 4th grade this year from a small private school, and Greer has been absolutely amazing for her. Her teacher has been so kind and my daughter has been excited to go to school each day (this was not the case at private school). She even says she misses school on the weekends. She has been very interested in everything they have been learning this year. The diversity has been the most amazing part-- her friend group includes kids from all over the world. She has gained a broader perspective of the world and made wonderful friends from very different backgrounds. The ratings on greatschools really don't reflect how wonderful Greer is.Other Review10mo ago - Check out schools near 401 Colthurst Dr.

"Street gatherings are the best. Also love community activities at the community pool, food trucks, social media connections and nature trail."

"This city could do some work. The streets are too narrow. Highway 29 is too chaotic and out of place. Charlottesville is too small to have a 8 lane road"

"Close to U V A, downtown, Thomas Jefferson’s Monticello and everything C’ville but surrounded by nature. We have the best of both worlds! I can not believe how many good supermarkets we have in the area. There are so many nature trails for walking and hiking. "

"Nothing unless you want to count the crime!!! The Spark is a terrible place to live! Gone through countless managers with everyone promising to make a change and the only thing that changes is the staff. Nothing gets fixed and the current office manager is rude. There is a serious rodent issue that everybody ignores and continually sends the insect companies to spray just so they can say they are doing something. Can’t wait to leave!!!"

"Medium to large homes (1500 - 4000 sq ft) built mostly in the 1970s. The houses are well built and are not all the same. There is mature tree over, a lot of wildlife (especially birds) and wide streets. The neighborhood has an optional neighbors association that organizes picnics and holiday parties. The best part is that Canterbury Hills is close to both UVA and downtown. You’ll never have to drive more than 10 minutes to go just about anywhere in town or immediately surrounding areas. "
