It’s a shame most reviews here are so outdated. The principal described in the old reviews is long gone. Her replacement, Mr. Blanchard, was a fabulous principal who was admired and respected by students, teachers, and parents. Unfortunately for us, he retired this year. The district is engaged in an exhaustive search to find the right person to be the next principal. The bar is very high now. I have a rising sophomore and another who graduated during the pandemic. I can’t say enough about the way the teachers and administration do everything they can to support students and help them succeed. Both kids have had the same guidance counselor and she has always been very responsive and helpful.

Very welcoming when my daughter began in 2/17. I saw her blossom overnight at Smith. She has improved in every class. She made the A/B roll and she struggled at her last school. I'm very happy with the school and the staff.

Had a terrible experience with administration, our k teacher was phenomenal. When we brought the issues about the administration to our parent teacher conference, the teacher started crying and said my friends always asked me why I stay here… have a feeling most of these scores are artificially increased by members of the PTA or administration themselves
