"Busy streets with no guidance your pet can get hit by a car. Then there aren’t many parks for the dog to play or relax."
  • Kevin E.
"you will find that neighborhoods are great place if you make it so if you are a scary person and things seem so but if you are not afraid and have the intestinal fortitude to be neighborly in any condition things will always work out"
  • Brice E.
"My commute is ok. I prefer the Q line but it only goes to the boulevard. The Bus lines are getting better."
  • Anon
"There is usually a block party or neighborhood party somewhere on Woodward during the summer. However there isn’t much that “Highland Park” does as a neighborhood. The events that are here or pass through here are most likely here due to Detroit having events. And seeing as the community is not the safest I personally do not participate in the community events. "
  • Rashleyc
"i would describe it as safe, easy, multiple and fast ways to get there but parking isn't always fun."
  • Steviec1809
"There are a lot of famalies on the block. Ok speak to them when I see them but I do not know there names."
  • Todd M.
"bus system is good. major freeways near by. this area is on the rebound. i use bikes alot. good location. "
  • Thrandumb2
"Block part and bbq that happens every summer it’s important to keep that going more neighborhoods should be able to do what we have available to us"
  • Amy P.
"I have a car but because I work in downtown Birmingham I commute by using public transportation to save on parking expenses. other than that I walk to get to stores because everything is in walking distance."
  • artrizzo
"I have lived in this neighborhood since 1996~in all those years I have always felt safe. Awesome historic home & great neighbors."
