This school goes above and beyond. Caring teachers, clear communication. We have had a problem here or there and they work with us as a team to solve. I’m not taking away stars for this but it’s definitely the main concern I have - the kids who need a multiple disability room are sent out of district. While these kidos are taken care of in surrounding districts, it does make for longer travel times and if you have multiple kids, you are juggling different days off for the kids as well as different school schedules, communications, internal systems.

They actively discriminate against children with special needs. They insist there are not enough children in the area with special needs to necessitate special education classrooms but the only way they could be compiling any data that supports that is by forcing out the children in this area with special needs by offering them options for placement in far away, run down, scantily staffed, scary, schools that most people if they have any other option would refuse to send a child to. They approach parents and students that are in need of support, guidance, and to continue recieving a quality education while navigating a whole new world of terms and services and concepts they're likely wholy unfamiliar with. They take advantage of families and students who are in a compromised postition by subtly placing the burden on them to figure out what to do as long as whatever they choose is not burdening the local school with a student with special needs because they make it very clear that in house services are NOT an option they’ll even willing to try. Terrible, Immoral, unconcionable, manipulative, wrong, and completely unbecoming of any institution claiming a mission to educate our youth and serve serve families in the community.Forcing all of their local students with any significant learning or behavioral issues to disenroll and homeschool or send their student to a private school does NOT EQUATE TO THE NEED NOT BEING THERE IN THIS TOWN. IT IS COMPLETELY LUDACRIS TO CLAIM THAT SOMEHOW JOHNSTOWN MONROE SD is the ony school district its size in Ohio that miraculously does not have the number of students that need services to necessitate developing and opening services up in district. Its wrong. Period.

Need a new principal . Since coming to this town and being warned of this middle school saddens me that I did not listen to the community . She intentionally tries to get students in trouble as if her life is at stake .
