"Summer is great. Music. Happy hours, art walks, several good restraints, and then the Montrose airport is 45 minutes away "

"Truly the most beautiful part of Colorado. The San Juan Mountains offer so much for the outdoor enthusiast whether you are active, or retired and just want to soak up the beauty. "

"We've recently moved here to Ridgway from Utah area. It's very rural here, but beautiful. People are genuine and warm, however the police and law enforcement departments here are corrupt. We've had strange incidences with them (winter slide off the road, one speeding ticket for 3mph over the speed limit and general interaction) They are all over the place, too many for the small area - looking to give tickets out for 1+ over the speed limit. They are rude, and left us to fend for ourselves as we were stuck in a late spring snowstorm. People were going off the roads everywhere and instead of helping, they were aggressive, rude and left on a very dangerous blind corner. We've heard many stories of people being harassed by the police. Honestly its bad enough that we would not have moved here (and we're not the type to be in trouble with police!). Other than that, it's a nice community, but short of the conveniences of stores, etc. The cost of living is VERY high as well - without many job opportunities. Most people work on contract, it seems."
