Why on earth kids are allowed to carry weapons on campus is beyond me. I state this simply because the kid who cut my nephew was not even sent home. My family had to file a police report. They have also been to the school several times to report bullying. Nothing is ever done.

"The houses are built very well. Established trees and lots are very nicely sized. Everyone keeps their yards and homes beautifully. I love it here. "

"I am retired and I live over by the golf course. There is no public transportation and you need a car. Most places for grocery, shopping, food, recreation are within 10-20 minutes. Our neighborhood is very well kept and people are always out running or walking. "

"Everyone looks out for each other. A lot of people know each other by name, hang out on The Weekends, grill and spend quality time together. A lot of people here went to school together and stay in contact with each other personally. "

"my neighborhood is a safe neighborhood. everyone who lives in this neighborhood is friendly and everyone keeps their yards cut nicely and the neighborhood is kept clean."

"I have lived in Palestine for 5 years and I really like the area. The people are friendly, but when I am at home I do not have neighbors to close to be bothersome. It feels like I am living in the country, yet I am less than a mile from the Loop where all the shopping, stores, etc are located."
