We are a small school located on Interstate 90. We are a great, tight knit school family. Everyone has great empathy for others. Our high school students look after our elementary! We spend a lot of our time on common goals that help ALL students learn. We are active in driving the CCSS. A daunting task, but we love challenges. Our diverse population, diverse economic status, diverse family make up makes us at Mount Vernon School work all the harder! We need help with parent involvement and parent awareness about how children learn and what the best practices for parents and children together entail! As with all schools...money is tight! We would love to win this contest so we could financially implement updated technology, and parent involvement activities! Go Mount Vernon!
