This school has always been hit or miss with their teachers. I feel like it has some really good teachers overall that foster growth well. However, I do feel it's inconsistent here. In the past this school was in the top 5 in the state and since has plummeted a bit in my experience. I think this school is good to start out with then potentially move your kid towards a charter school for innovative learning schemes.

I used to go to this school when I was young. Worst year of any ive been learning. It wasnt just that year or that class, it was happening for years in all classes. There were only 2 good teachers and there were multiple occasions where the children got into physical fights, and we werent learning anything because the teachers were LAZY. I DO NOT RECOMMEND. EVERYTHING IS HORRIBLE

I love it so far. Ny child looks forward to going to school and as a parent, that is so important.

I went there as a child in the late 90's. Many people I know have had children go there recently, and it hasn't gotten any better. Bullying is not dealt with properly. The teachers and staff seem very conservative for the most part, which leads to a very uncaring approach to teaching. A lot of kids start falling to the wayside, and this is blamed on the students and their parents rather than the ones who are paid to teach these kids. I was on the honor roll until I started going to school here. I never had any discipline problems. I was a shy, quiet child, and that ended up being to my detriment. My grades went down, especially in Math, and it didn't stop until my parents took me out of school. I rediscovered my love of learning and reading. Ponchatoula schools in general are overrated. Most of them felt like a prison, which is a problem all over the country. Martha Vinyard was the worst.

Horrible, Nightmare, child abusers as teachers! Beware!
