My daughter suffered a serious facial injury at Hollywood Central Elementary, FL on February 24th 2026 on the circumstances that raise significant concern about supervision and the school's legal duty of care a student not in my daughter's class was able to access her without oversight and caused an injury severe enough to fracture her eye orbit floor.Despite a visible head and eye injury no one contacted me the nurse documented that a parent was not notified which is I direct failure to follow basic safety and emergency response standards to make matters worse I received an automatic message stating my daughter was absent that day even though she was injured on campus- in alarming in the indication of poor supervision in inaccurate student tracking.My daughter followed school rules by not using her cell phone to contact me, yet she was not offered the school phone while in pain and afraid she was then forced to ride the bus home for nearly an hour with a fractured face before I learned what happened. This incident caused us to go to the emergency room after a CT scan she was diagnosed with a fractured orbit floor and injury would potentially long-term consequences trauma and permanent scarring she is now seeing specialists instead of preparing for her birthday. This incident reflects a serious breakdown in supervision safety protocol and parental notification- issues that carry real legal implications parents deserve to know when a school fails to protect a child respond appropriately to an injured or uphold its responsibility to maintain a safe environment this should NEVER happen not only to my child but to ANY student that attend this school. I am highly disappointed, the school system has failed us. this situation is a real eye-opener on negligence where our children spend majority of their lives to learn but in this case my daughter was too afraid to speak up. Parents show up for your children and advocate for your child they have a voice too

I cannot say enough great things about this school! was so nervous at first about my daughter starting"big girl school," but the entire experience has been amazing. She adjusted so quickly, and everything has been so smooth. The staff is truly wonderful -anytime I send an email or message on TalkingPoints, they respond super fast, which makes me feel so supported as a parent.I'm honestly so happy and thankful that this is where my daughter gets to begin her education journey.Seeing how much she enjoys going to school every day means the world to me. I would highly recommend this school to any parent!
