"Born and raised along the Hudson in NYC , I moved to Dobbs in 1996 . Itโ€™s 30 years and counting for us , living off of Main Street in Dobbs. Walk to trans, foods, and services. E bikes available if youโ€™re farther from Main Street. The waterfront park is extensive and u canโ€™t beat the sunsets . Croton aqueduct runs right outside my door for walks that will take you the TappanZee Bridge and beyond . The best of the river-towns in my opinion but I have a bias !! We have an ethnically and economically diverse population, lively events and a few downtown bar hangs that add character and keeps that NYC vibe ticking! Schools are great for you growing families !"
  • Chloe DiGianni
"This is a very small town where everyone knows everyone. People are kind and helpful. Most kids walk to school once middle school age and above. "
  • Chloe DiGianni
"It is a great safe area to live in. Very walkable. Everyone is friendly. Parking is limited but able to make it work. "
  • Rwilhelm09
"Live music at the waterfront park, trivia nights at the local pubs, seasonal events for every holiday "
  • Susan F.
"Fabulous... civilized. 35 minutes to the city. Grand central station. Commute home is even better try because youโ€re tired. I always get a seat. "

  • Marjoriezuniga31
"Summer movies in the ParkNYC the Hudson River is great. There is also a farmers market and quaint restaurants and shops in town. The school district is also great so itโ€™s a wonderful town for kids. The community is not as diverse as I like but itโ€™s a lovely place none the less."
  • Andrew V.
"Safety is priority for me I donโ€™t have to worry if I forgot to lock my car door, I just go to bed not worrying, same for my home, everyone keeps to themselves."
