10/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageI am a recent graduate of this school and personally I had a hellish experience at this school I have an iep and it was constantly ignored and they never reached out to my parents so she was completely left in the dark and I almost failed out with little to no support the school's academic support staff is way to low. I was also bullied and the school promised they would keep everything confidential and unfortunately they didn't and also refused to believe the severity of some bullying and would only talk to the kids who bullied me it got so bad to the point I has started audio recordings of the incidents and was threatened with a call to police it caused me to fall into the worst depression and while I was at the mental hospital they counted it as absences I felt completely unsafe and unsupported. They also will do anything to protect any kids on sports teams like letting kids bully those with disabilities or even joke about school shootings or straight up abuse the staff. It's absolutely disgusting and the arts are severely underfunded and the bathrooms are always closed and they'll give you a detention for being a minute late twice and not give detention to bullies. They also do not check up on kids who constantly go to the nurse just to escape school I've had a few amazing teachers like all of the art teachers the English department science and personal fitness but it has given me so much traumaPlease do betterOther Review7mo ago10 Reviews - West Elementary School

7/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageThis school is not equipped for neuro-divergent students. The IEP team stripped away every possible support and continued to deny that there was anything when we had already gotten an outside neurologist to complete an evaluation. If you have a neuro-diverse student I would suggest strongly to look elsewhere for these critical years of education. Teachers have been a real mixed bag, with someone understanding and working with our kids while others just tow the company line and refuse to work with us and flat out lie about performance, saying our kid was at grade level when that was absolutely not true, solely to pass a kid along to make sure it’s not their problem for any additional years. The IEP coordinator and the school social worker are among the possibly 2 of the worst people I’ve ever met, if you have the unfortunate opportunity of needing to meet them sorry, they clearly are miserable and have no intention of doing anything except smiling and no helping your kid as much as possible, they honestly embody Dolores Umbridge from the Harry Potter books, they are that terrible despite their rosy demeanor.Parent Review11mo ago8 Reviews - Andover West Middle School

8/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageBlue ribbon school! I went to a private school before fifth grade where I went to West Elementary and now I'm in 8th grade. I feel like homework is always managable where the maximum time in takes to finish homework is one hour. The french tacher is great! We always play games and make crepes and chocolate fountains, cheese tastings, and we learn through movies and stuff, even though she gives us homework and quizzes pretty often. I love all my teacheers--Well, maybe except the old or ELA teachers who give you a butt ton of essays. I don't really like essays. But they're not bad. Our students are all super nice and friendly as well as awesome to be around! Well, I don't really like some of the emo kids, but that's my personal opinion. The kids in my grade always invite people to sit with them at lunch and I've never really seen anyone be bullied at all. I feel like we have a diverse student population and everyone respects and are friends with each other. WEST IS BEST!!! "Very easy drive to where I work. Carpooled a few times too with very nice people but people seem to drive way under the speed limit which can slow things down, speed limits posted are very inconsistent"

"I’ve lived in Andover for over 20 years. It’s family friendly, safe, and full of historical charm. The best location in my opinion is downtown area, near Phillips Academy."

"I see a lot of people walking dogs on trails and in the neighborhood but I have not seen any dog parks or areas for dogs to be off of a leash. "

"And over has a large percentage of the population that is well educated well employed and financially responsible. My neighborhood, in particular, is a cul-de-sac, off of a cul-de-sac, off of a cul-de-sac, neighboring Harold Parker forest. People will come and park at the edge of our neighborhood to walk their dogs. Everyone is courteous that there are children and drive slowly. Wide open streets with almost no traffic."

"Living off 28 isn’t the ideal location in the city. But the location offers the best bang for your buck. Neighbors aren’t as friendly when you’re a minority. Overall, fair city with great schools that is not walkable. "
