Byron High School offers students the feel of a private school setting for the price of a public school!The teachers CARE about the success of their students at all levels. The teachers are active participants in the school, encouraging school spirit and comradery and pushing their students to achieve their highest levels. We also cannot say enough about the counselors at BHS. They really set their graduates up for success in whatever path the students chose to take.

A pretty decent public middle school. Nothing extraordinary but it's well funded, so the building is kept up and learning materials are current. The Great Schools summary says there is a gifted program - there's not. Someone compared it to private schools, which is weird because private schools typically have lower education standards.

The Byron CUSD is well funded via taxes paid from the local nuclear plant. This school offers a private school feel (setting) with the price of a public school.The CUSD staff is top notch - they CARE about their students. They staff (from the Superintendent down) puts the needs of the students first. Our daughter began her time at Byron as a 3.5 year old pre-K student. After having a liver transplant, she was behind in all areas - education, physical, etc. We credit staff at Byron with helping us to make sure that our daughter achieved whatever it was that she wanted to. She is now a junior in college and majoring in education. She wants to give back to the vocation of education and to the educators that never gave up on her and helped her to set her sights high.
