About this House

First, if you are an agent, I don’t need to know how much I’m losing not using you, or how you can bring me the high bidding buyer. If you have an agent, just contact me yourself. For sale by owner means that.
Today I received 20+ calls and texts from agents insulting me or hustling me to use them. Zillow allows us to skip the use of an agent thank goodness and I will use the tool for that.

Now the funnnnn part
I’m going to post pics this weekend. I created the account not realizing the replies and activity I’d get so now I’m feeling ready to sell.

I’m not an agent so I will just be direct and authentic and human with my approach. This was my first home I purchased at 30. I love this home a lot but I am now making the East Coast my home.

I am not in a rush to sell so I am taking my time to find one lucky person or family to join this great street, and make this home their own.

This home has unique details, it has history, and a large backyard, the neighbors have been on the street for years and look out for each other.

Absolutely delightful 2 bedroom, 1 bathroom (Jack and Jill), Craftsman bungalow. All the charm of the 20’s with some of today’s modern conveniences. Refinished hardwood floors, light and bright sun room/office, amazing comfy lil (but not cramped) kitchen with original looking shaker style cabinets, one amazing built in, and vintage six burner O’Keefe & Merritt stove, laundry room includes washer/dryer hookups inside, terraced backyard with huge trek deck, 1 car garage with front small bonus room (office/ new little one?), freshly painted inside & out, plus new copper plumbing. This is a a semi turnkey home ready to move in to!

It's Long Beach, and if you know LB you love LB - you know you can hop on the highway to many differnt cities - near and far - or jump on a bike and ride down to the beach. Most people stay local when they are not working.

The counters and cabinets were installed three years ago, & they are standard shaker cabinets, the bathroom is a jack and jill and I picked a boaring title but it only needs a new design, and garage can use your touch in terms of design and style, or leave as is and keep it simple. Ideas I had: take down the garage and build a cargo container office with guest suite. Open the 7'x13' back second bedroom and put in a closet and bathroom and turn that into the master. I even though of taking down the wall from the kitchen to the living room and making it a more open floor plan. It's pretty much a square so you can do a lot with it.

You can also knock down some walls and reconfigure the floor plan. The main bonus is the large backyward. Make an offer.

"it’s nice like any other place that has the ups and down however, for the most part, people are friendly and neighborly. Issue is that some houses and apartment are oversaturated with tenant which causes a decrease of actual parking space on the street so parking is horrible. Worse than a lot of parts in LA."
  • Kkgregorio
"Long Beach is a great place for families, couples, and singles. People are very friendly in this city. I’m from the Bay Area in northern California and found that people in SoCal are generally more welcoming than in the Bay. "
  • Klkimball16
"Cool area depending on time of day. It can be active at times during the weekends. The sunset view is stunning up on this hill. "
  • Kevin Z
"Don’t move here. It is terrible living here. It’s very far from everything. There are no good restaurants and there is nothing ever going on"
  • Kevin Z
"Long Beach is a big city with all that that implies good and bad. It’ll teach your kids to be street smart, which is not necessarily a bad thing, and there are a lot of fun things for kids to do and experience "
  • Unspecified
"Big traffic circle, good amount of stores. There are a good amount of college kids in the neighborhood"
  • Lilia morua
"There are many families in our neighborhood often walking with their kids in strollers, bikes and walking their pets too. There are two parks walking distance from here. You do have to be cautious though because there are also homeless people roaming sometimes and they set up tents on Anaheim, just always be aware of your surroundings. "
  • Trulia User
"We do have homeless activity on main streets (Clark, Los Coyotes, Stearns) and occasionally will see them passing through on neighborhood streets."
  • Trulia User
"its a good neighborhood to live in love this place i love traffic circle would get another place here"

"This is a nice neighbor but a few neighbors have too many junk cars and use street as personal driveway. "
  • Heathermidori
"there are a lot of green areas and parks to take your dog for a walk or play catch. it isn't far of a drive to get to a dog beach. "
  • Kiki J.
"Lots of parking and tons of friendly neighbors but avoid Wilton St. because there’s tons of registered pedophiles on that street. Cars don’t often get vandalized- it rarely happens. Don’t walk alone past 10pm. "
  • Kim G.
"People letting their dogs off leash makes it unsafe for others. We need to be thoughtful of other. "
  • Kelley B.
"It is fairly clean and not full of too many homeless. We have many friends in the area. It is near the ocean and has breezes."

"Commute to downtown LB about 15-20 minutes. Easy access to public transportation. I commute to downtown via streets & is way better than the congested freeways. Commute is enjoyable."
  • Abdullah I.
"No community events are held in this area. There decent parks that are in the area and lots of options in terms of food."
  • Meghan M.

  • Lbcgirlie
"There’s all kinds of dogs in this neighborhood so make sure you keep your dog on a leash. And be sure to pick up the poop when your dog poops on someone else’s lawn."
  • Silverlaken
" I commute to Glendale takes about an hour LA downtown 45 minutes not too bad. Living in Long Beach is very nice although where we’re located is very noisy and I would never live here at this location."
  • Disneyassict19
"People walking dogs, close to restaurants and shopping all within walking distance . Neighbors are friendly and this is a nice area to live "
  • Jon C. M.
"I’ve lived in Artcraft Manor for 15 years It’s an awesome neighborhood! Mostly blue collar working class Quiet, clean, and safe. Close to parks, shopping. Restaurants, airport, freeways, and the beach"
  • Lvellevit
"There are a few dogs, but there isn't enough room for them. Most buildings have at least 4 apartments in them & if a dog barks too much, people complain. "
  • Alexander S.
"Whenever the farmer's market is in town, I enjoy the environment, food, and merchandise, but most of all, I enjoy all the local tail... THE LOCAL DOG TAILS THAT IS! "
