This city has all of your expected housing options, as well as great shopping options, Rivercats (Giants AAA) Baseball, to recreation on the water. If you are considering moving to this area, and want to be close to downtown Sacramento, but don't want the crime and congestion, or higher housing costs, move over to the beautiful side of the river and the business end of the Causeway.
