About this House

This darling Mid Century cottage was designed and constructed in 1949. It is one of the very few one bedroom homes to exist in the historic neighborhood of California Heights. This home is a jewel box that lives very warm and graciously. There are unifying wall colors and dark toned wood laminate floors throughout. The living room has a wood burning fireplace and a vaulted post and beam ceiling with pop out clerestory windows. The dining area has a massive floor to ceiling wide grid window that lets the natural light pour in. The kitchen has been remodeled with maple cabinetry and stainless steel gas stove, built-in microwave, dishwasher and double sided sink. There is a utility room off the kitchen that houses the inside laundry facility, stainless steel refrigerator and a door that exits to the side yard. The light and airy bathroom has a spa-like atmosphere remodeled with a wood vanity sink and tub & shower walled with white tile. The bedroom has a large walk-in closet equipped with a custom organizing system and dual single-lite doors leading to the rear patio area. The original one car garage has been converted to a family room-like living space that has the same colors and flooring as the main home, again giving this property a very unifying feeling and an extra 280 square feet to enjoy. The rear yard has a large entertaining patio, covered gazebo, expanse of lawn, storage shed and an alley access parking pad. This is truly a special property.
