Description

Full of mid‑century character and thoughtful original details, this spacious four‑level tri‑level home offers a rare opportunity to own a 1959 classic with room to personalize. The main level welcomes you with a bright living room featuring a distinctive slanted ceiling, adding architectural interest and warmth. A main‑level bedroom provides flexible use for guests, an office, or convenient one‑level living. Just a few steps up, the upper level includes three true 1950s bedrooms and a full bath. While carpet is currently installed, original hardwood floors are preserved underneath, ready to be revealed and restored. Returning to the main level and stepping down a few stairs, you’ll find a comfortable family room and the kitchen, both offering easy access to the outdoors. Two separate exits lead to a covered side porch and a large backyard, perfect for gatherings, gardening, or quiet relaxation. This level also includes a half bath and a laundry room conveniently located off the kitchen. Continue down a few more steps to the lower level, which spans half the home and features classic wood paneling and vintage tile flooring—a nostalgic backdrop for a workshop, recreation space, or future renovation. • Sylvia B.
"I can honestly tell you that there isn't one house in this neighborhood worth what they're asking for. I can see. If the house was located in Potomac, Maryland but come on, really, you can clearly see. There's no way that houses worth that amount."
  • Anamariebaker
"Neighborhood potlucks, Halloween parades and Easter egg hunts- it is a very friendly place to live. Most people walk their kids to school which is a nice way to run into your neighbors."
  • K C
"Great neighborhood! Young families and plenty of parks! Lots of stores and activities! Very safe and dog friendly!"
  • Zak Ibrahim
"Very time consuming and not worth it with the busses running so infrequently. Better to Uber to the metro station. "
  • Ivory3673
"The neighborhood of Strathmore and Belpree has a great neighborhood recreation center with its own swim teams, and host movie night, game night and all different events throughout the year to keep the community close and enjoy each other"

"They do look out for each other. On several occasion neighbors do return packages to me because they were delivered to them instead. In the same token packages have been delivered to me in error and I am happy to deliver them to its rightful owner. I do think it’s correct to say we do look out for each other and are always looking out for each others children to make sure they are safe. "

  • Trulia User
"it's peaceful and calm here. the high-school is close and there's a small stopping center near. this neighborhood has a big orthodox jewish community but also many reform and conservatives. nice parks it's a beautiful diverse area."
  • Trulia User
"It has good drainage. People are alright. It’s a good place to live, not too bad. Especially, where I live."
  • Trulia User
"Although I don’t depend on public information the commute is quite average. Whenever there is road work during rush hours there’s always a delay sometimes more than other especially on route 32 with sometimes major road work. Of late it has gotten much better because most of the work seems to be done. I must give the workers a big thank you for the exceptional work they have done even though the weather was so hot most of the time. Thank you from all the commuters of route 32. It is such a pleasure driving there now that it’s not that narrow and winding as before. Thank you workers for all your hard work. May God bless you and your family. "
  • Trulia User
"people sometimes let their dog off leash with no recall... and people don't pick up after their dogs"
  • Trulia User
"Very safe, ultra low property crime, close to DC & beltway but still feels small town. Very diverse, friendly neighborhood."
  • Trulia User
"really close to Wheaton dog park so you'll be able to run your dog around, but not all owners are responsible. be careful"
  • Trulia User
"Two nearby Metro stations with parking lots, and bus lines all up and down Georgia Avenue. Very convenient"
  • Trulia User
"I lived in this neighborhood 10 yrs and love the surrounding neighborhoods. Very friendly, clean environment and safe. If I could I’d live here a much longer time."
  • Trulia User
"low crime, easy access to metro, local grocery stores, close to fire and police departments, near local parks and arboretum."
  • Trulia User
"We have movies, metro train very close and buses at the front doors. The neighorhood look out for each other. Lots of Groceries store, Parks and restaurants."
  • Trulia User
"Everyone I have seen abides by state leash laws and picks up after pets. There are even a few dog parks"
