"It’s nice to have events close by at the Fairplex, and there are a lot of great public/community resources available throughout Pomona— specifically public health. Our neighborhood, specifically, does not do any organized events, and I generally spend my time outside of Pomona (grocery shopping/errands in La Verne, San Dimas, or Glendora, and work in Orange County) because many parts of Pomona are NOT safe at all and I don’t feel comfortable taking my family anywhere in town."
  • Leslie Aparicio
"For the most part it’s quiet and my neighbors are friendly. I’ve lived here for almost 13 years and I still really like it. I might be move in the near future just because we need more room"
  • Mirandangelica03

  • Juan Lopez
"I live in this Historic District for 15 yrs. Besides the old homes, there are lots of old massive trees that create lots of shade for the neighborhood. It’s a beautiful peaceful area to live in. "

  • Monique Tellez
"People would not like to walk their dogs here outside because there are homeless everywhere and prostitutes on all the main streets."
  • Jennsickies
"I don’t think Pomona is safe. I don’t feel Comfortable taking a walk. There are homeless encampments in many locations. I regularly call to report graffiti. The roads aren’t great; lots of potholes. Doesn’t seem to be important for city entities to take care of. Pomona isn’t well-maintained. "
  • Jennsickies
"Don’t come here. Streets aren’t maintained. Sidewalks aren’t maintained. It’s not safe. I don’t feel safe walking around. I highly recommend moving out of state. "
  • Viera.george

  • Lea V.
"It has such history and enormous potential for becoming a great up and coming area. It has plenty of restaurants and stores yet with its pockets of residential neighborhoods."
  • Lea V.

  • Rockabillyesaul
"Pomona has ugly parts in the two main blvds and some houses. Nonetheless, it has a few really nice residential areas and the down town part is thriving. It makes me somewhat proud of living in a city with a lot of history and culture."
  • Wendy M.
"move out ASAP. too many bums. school district sucks, doesn't place enough importance on special ED department. gen ed is ok. few teachers at Garey high who care. look for those "

  • Izzypacheco5
"The city is improving and it is the next gentrified area. That sucks to here but it’s become more welcoming to outsiders. People talk down on Pomona but I’ve loved it here"
  • Marely S.
"I guess the fact that my friends live in the area, there is a park close by, stores close by, and that there are schools close by."
  • Jennifer O.
"Right now, we are all working remotely so our commute is 0. Other than that, we would be driving to LA. That can take two hours (one way). "
  • Stephanieann73
"The commute is in between shopping malls and farmers markets and grocery store and it’s perfect. It’s not far from anything "
  • Qkenia54688
"To make sure neighborhood is safe specially if there’s kids around. There are schools close to home."
