Teachers are excellent! The teacher’s passion for teaching really inspires all of us

I have more than one child attending New Manchester elementary school and, one of my children's grade level teachers seem to work with me and my child with any things that were needing to be addressed. However, there seems to be biasness with where accolades are concerned. My child did well in some classes and did not receive her reward for it, while the other students did. In addition, she received one of her rewards sent home while others received there's at the awards ceremony and mind you my child had excellent A1 behavior. In addition, my other child's teacher was a male teacher and he stated he was very observant and aware that my child had a learning difficulty and sensitive to certain things. However, when I inquired on removing or minimizing my child exposure to those triggers the teacher did not instead, my child came home to tell me he stated the teacher said your parent don't tell me where to put you & I put you where I want to put you. The teacher knew my child had difficulties but, instead when other children were bothering him and even bullying him the teacher would punish my child for having outburst and he knew he had issues. My child attempted to tell the teacher that a child was hitting him and taunting him and the teacher would do nothing but, say stop tattling and go play, and dismissing him. Then, the male teacher was stating that my child was not listening and went over to a chemical, that they need not to have ever put or kept around children, and he went over to look and smell it. Instead of the teacher, lightly taking his hand and remove him; the teacher yanked him up harshly and dragged him out the class and proceeded to poke him in his shoulder and side of his stomach yelling and screaming at him vehemently. When, I reported it to the principal and had conversation about it with him realizing from the conversation that he was more so singling him out. The teacher began to attempt to manipulate me by stating certain things such as, why would you listen to a small child and not an adult who has been doing this for years. The administrative seem to all stick together no matter if the staff is right or wrong which, is a disgrace. The teacher was dishonest stating, he wanted my child to attend a field trip that I signed up for him to attend however, he communicated with one of the asst. principals who he clearly has in his pocket to conjure up a reason at the last minute/day of to not allow my child to attend.

I have had two children graduate from this school. I will tell you as someone working in education, that every school has its problems with behaviors. My kids excelled based on the work that THEY put in and when they did not excel, it was because of the work they THEY DID NOT put in.
