This school tries hard. As a former student I can list more pros than cons to this school. I wouldn’t say I’m troubled but I did have my share of base instances where I was able to seek out a therapist and get the help I needed while on campus. There are many great teachers and counselors at this school that really make an impact. The largest downside to this school is the kids. The kids make this school intolerable. From the constant bullying to the fights and even sometimes threats. The teachers and staff implement new policies every year to help better the experience and they do a great job of adapting. There are even “safe zones” on campus for students to go during lunches to have a safe spot to eat and hang out. (Definitely recommend)

This school is the worst when it comes to bullying. My son has to constantly defend himself amd then he gets in trouble for doing so. If you complain about the policies and make your voice heard your child becomes a target for staff and will pick on him for everything. Kids call my son names amd harass him consistently. We are moving him out of CUSD next year because it is awful!

I cannot say enough good things about our experience at this school. From the very beginning, we have felt welcomed, supported, and truly part of a community.One of the standout aspects has been how seriously the school takes bullying. They don’t just talk about creating a safe and respectful environment—they live it. The staff addresses any concerns promptly and thoughtfully, and it’s clear that they genuinely care about the well-being of every student. My daughter had a bully situation and the GIS handled It immediately and was so kind to my daughter and continuously checked in. Family engagement here is also incredible. Communication is open and consistent, and there are so many opportunities to participate and stay connected.The Parent-Teacher Club (PTC) is one of the most welcoming and active groups we’ve been a part of. They work hard to support the school and create fun experiences for students and families throughout the year. Everyone is encouraged to get involved, no matter how much or how little time they can give.Overall, we’ve absolutely loved our time here. The school has exceeded our expectations in every way, and we feel incredibly grateful to be part of such a caring and dedicated community.
