6/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageAlcona High's the School that makes me proud to be a member of her loyal crowd. Yes Alcona has had some of the greatest teachers, staff, environment and fellow students, who care one for the others. My chemistry teacher had a Masters in Chemistry. My football coach had played college football and was briefly in the NFL. Our vocal music teacher taught us so that we got all 1s (highest scores). The Marching Band performed all over the state. The basketball team was in the playoffs. The rules were fairly and equally enforced. We had many in my class that went on to college and like myself graduated. It is safe! None of the student athletes (when I was there and playing) were on drugs and the few that were drinkers were careful not to get caught and did not abuse alcohol on a regular basis (no I did not drink). Our teachers came to our dances. Our parents would trade off being chaperones and come to some dances. We had a state champion in track in the 440. Wow as I think back, I wish was a kid again, back in Michigan at old Alcona High.Other Review14y ago - Alcona Elementary School
