3/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating Averagethe first days of school their were ants all over children's backpack from where they line up, and the grass was very tall making it hard for children to walk through. i have just found out this school scored as "C" and is 90% poverty. when we told the principal she seemed quick to have it taken care of. im curious what the difference is from this school and a "north side" school. their must be a huge difference. is it parent participation, lack of activities, fed up staff and teachers. i mean why do these kids have to suffer. school is supposed to make a positive impact on children, not make them want to hate school... these school need help and CHANGE! whether it be from structure. organization, patience etc!!! im so sad as a parent.Parent Review12y ago3 Reviews - Desert View High School

4/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageThis school is awesome. Sauce. Also has one of the coolest basketball courts I've ever seen. Made lots of friends here and one of my favorite teachers shout out Mr. Paulson is one of the the best I've ever had. There is some teachers that I don't like but that's for every school. For the most part, they're all really helpful and good at teaching though. 10 out of 10 would recommend. Also they have amazing soda machine selection.Student Review8mo ago5 Reviews - Challenger Middle School

2/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageMy daughter attended this school and I had to pull her out due to her being assualted. The school is infested with gang activity it should be no surprise as it is located on the south side of Tucson. The administration is worthless they sit back taking no action as the children run amok. Bullying and gang activity is prevelant throughout the entire school.Parent Review8y ago4 Reviews - Check out schools near 3634 E Drexel Rd.

"There is easy access to your bus routes and it is minutes to downtown. Shopping is walking distance. Excellent restaurants and live music on most weekends. Neighbors are well educated, friendly, and ages range from 1 to the 90s. There are a lot of walkers in the morning and evening and parks, golf, tennis, and a community are blocks away. "

"Not a very kid friendly city in general, but if you live on the outskirts of Tucson; East- Tanque Verde/Vail, North (Oro Valley), West(Picture Rocks), and far south (Sahuarita) then it’s pretty nice!"

"Not much to do for kids. Bad schools. Almost no parks in the area, side walks randomly cease. It’s 100+degrees for 2/3rds of the year. Don’t recommend "

"We have a neighborhood association (not an HOA) that puts on events in our little local park. Events like Mother’s Day celebrations, movie nights, back to school BBQ, Friday nights at the park with food trucks. We also have a community garden. My neighborhood (Colonial del Valley) is mostly elderly people who raised their kids here and a mix of younger people who are buying homes from relatives. "

"They would like the decent space the dogs have in the yards and close walks to Jacob’s Park. At the park, there is a dog park as well. They may not like reckless drivers that cut through the neighborhood streets at times. This would usually occur at night though. There are many dogs in this neighborhood, mostly friendly and very few would ever get out. "

"It is centrally located near Reid Park. You can easily walk to the bus stops nearby. It is minutes away from the university and shopping downtown or a variety of shops, eating establishments, and the mall is not far away. There is also a fire station nearby, but not too close to be disturbing. "
