For many years Wadsworth Ave Elementary School has had the same low scores. My First Daughter attended Wadsworth elementary and i notice that she was reviewing material that didn't go with her level, we change her to synergy charter school where kids are treated with respect and great academic material. I honestly recommend that this school should be given to a charter school to improve the quality of academic achievement not to mention a safer environment. Enough is Enough and we as parents should come together to do something about this, Even though my daughters are no longer attending this school, there are other kids that have to go through the same bad conditions as my daughter and other kids went through. We will be organizing to do something about this

I use to go to this horrible school to pick son and just to see him getting yelled and bullied right in front off staff members. Those staff members didn’t stop the harassment and just stood acting like nothing is happening. I highly don’t recommend this school cause of the new principal. The previous principal and vice principal was way more better than the current ones. I am so disappointed how this school has become ever since of this new principal.

My twins both graduated from Jefferson high school, they both earned honors and a high GPA. My kids passed their History and Calculus AP exams, and they both received academic scholarships to help them pay for college. My kids enrolled in four year universities CSLA, UCLA. They are both pursuing a bachelors degree. They also were part of extra curriculum activities from SRLA, and avid program. They received Letterman jackets from the school. They had a wonderful experience. I also graduated from Jefferson and am very proud. Best school in South Central

I taught here and the environment inside and outside of school made me feel as though I didn't know how to do my job. Who's to blame? Give teachers the option to transfer to a school that doesn't stress you out as much as Maya, for the same pay, and you'll see why there's a revolving door / high turnover rate. Especially since teacher income is based on student performance. Teachers at the school will be effective if their students were starting the education race from the same starting line as those schools in better areas. Trust me, I've flourished before and after working at that school. I don't blame the teachers at all since students are lawless there.
