Nancy Lewis is the dream teacher. But one teacher does not make a school. Unfortunately, the rest of the staff is not so great. Fifteen years ago, the school was filled with talented, dedicated, hardworking teachers.They’ve gone through a lot of administrative changes. Mike Leonard, Jane Rowland, and Julie Johansen were amazing. The rest have hurt, not helped the school.

I attended this school about four years ago, and I strongly advise parents not to send their children here, especially if they have any goals of attending an Ivy League or competitive college. This school does not prepare students for the SAT, PSAT, or any state or national standardized test. The curriculum is shockingly behind. Even in AP classes, students are often re-learning basic material that should have been mastered in middle school.Many of the teachers I had were clearly unqualified or lacked the ability to manage a classroom. In some classes, over half the period would be wasted on pointless back-and-forth arguments between the teacher and students trying to get a reaction. These distractions happened daily, and nothing was ever done about it. Teachers would quit or be fired, and replacements were usually just as ineffective. In several AP classes, I walked away without learning a single concept that showed up on college entrance exams.On top of the academic issues, student safety is also a major problem. The student parking lot has no cameras, and during my time there, several cars were vandalized during school hours. Even after multiple incidents, the administration did nothing to prevent more from happening.This school is one of the easiest I’ve ever imagine going to, but that is not a good thing. It fails to challenge students and does not provide even the minimum preparation needed for success in college or on national exams. I say this as someone who graduated with high honors. Looking back after finishing college, I can say without a doubt that I would have been much better off at almost any other school in the county. Sending your kid here will only set them back. Do not make the same mistake I did.

bad school don’t reccomend the kids are messed up in the head and are drug addicts very bad principal too he does nothing about bullying or disciplinary on bad kids the kids are so bad a teacher quit on her second day of being there and you don’t learn anything they don’t even care if u have ur phone and the teachers don’t do anything if u talk back or make comments on them they watch movies every friday and don’t learn anything at all
