8/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageLockhart is a wonderful school! The teachers are experienced, and can handle all kinds of students. Principal Zoller is very supportive of the teachers, and communicates well with parents. My child has some social/behavior issues, and has thrived there. Her teachers have taken our input seriously in the classroom, and given us great suggestions things we can do at home. She has lots of friends now, and is doing well academically and socially. Because of how the classes are structured, kids can do advanced work in the subjects they excel in, and get help in subjects they struggle with every day in their classroom, so they aren't singled out by going to special classes. They take bullying seriously, and work with the parents to resolve problems as they arise, rather than ignoring them until they get out of hand. 3/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageThe Neuse River Middle School is amazing. I have twins who finished there in 2023. The staff works hard to connect with parents and students. Teachers made time to discuss, with parents or guardians, ways to help encourage the student's understanding of material and confidence level. The music classes were wonderful. My children learned to appreciate a range of music from Mozart to Andre 3000. Principal Mwanda motivated the students, teachers and staff to feel as a family. Festivals, pep rallies and games with student, teacher mashups allowed for the school community to laugh, cheer and get excited, with pride, about being a part of the Neuse River Middle School Family.Parent Review7mo ago - East Wake High School
