"Old car shows every Monday in the summer. Fourth of July parade down Main Street. Christmas parade in the winter. "

"Everyone is friendly, safe environment, but there are not a lot of fun things to do here. Crete is starting to build more stores however, and it’s not far from other towns stores and entertainment. "

"Friends moved to Crete and I'm considering moving out of the congestion & crime of the city. I've known about Crete for 30 years but never really explored it. People jogging, walking their dogs, bicycling with their children. Each time I visit my friends, I don't want to go home. It's such a fabulous community, home prices are so amazing. Who needs the north shore, Oakbrook or Naperville??"
