This school was a top academic school in 1963 through about the early '90's. Now it has barbed-wire on the fence tops and low college prep capability. Says a lot about how the demographics changed. Truly sad!

My experience with this school has been deeply disappointing because the issues go far beyond one isolated incident.On the academic side, I requested a printed copy of my son’s report card so I could keep it for our records, which should be a simple and reasonable request for any parent. Instead, the front office was rude, dismissive, and acted as though I was asking for something unreasonable. That printout ended up revealing a grading mistake from a previous quarter that directly affected my son’s record. His teacher was honest, communicative, and acknowledged the mistake, but the front office and records staff were unwilling to help fix an error that was clearly made on the school’s end.My concerns also extend to student safety and bullying. My daughter has repeatedly been told by staff to “ignore it” when other students have bullied her. Even the school social worker was dismissive when concerns were brought up. There has been an ongoing issue with one student repeatedly putting hands on my daughter even after she said stop. The school assured me they would keep them separated, yet that clearly did not happen. As a result, my daughter’s cup was broken, her new glasses were nearly broken, and she was called inappropriate names. Despite repeated calls and attempts to address these concerns, I have often received no follow-up or return calls. What makes this most upsetting is that parents should feel heard, supported, and confident that their children are both safe and being treated fairly. Instead, I have consistently felt dismissed unless I continue pushing for answers myself.I do want to acknowledge that some teachers have shown accountability and professionalism. My frustration is not with every staff member, but with the overall lack of communication, poor follow-through, and the failure to properly address both academic errors and student safety concerns.I hope this review encourages leadership to improve how they communicate with families, take accountability when mistakes happen, and create a safer, more supportive environment for students.

My Daughter has been at this School for the last 2 years and She love it, and enjoy every day, all the Staff is great, from Principal to Janitors, they direct matters right away ( if you speak up ) it takes Parents and Teachers working together to have a successful Students!!
