"Great area for children to be raised in, very inviting, and social. Enough privacy and nice neighbors. "
  • Lauren K.
"You have to travel a bit (25 mins or so) to get to anything “big,” like a mall or popular restaurants or entertainment. However, we’re within a few minutes of rt 55 so you have easy access."
  • Ginnyscott
"It is a cute small town. Everyone is friendly and helpful. It has the small town charm but is also close to major routes. It is close to Philadelphia, Delaware, and the shore."
  • Gabrielle M.
"There is no dog park but most people who own dogs in the town keep them on a leash. Occasionally a neighbor will let their dog and not bring them in and the dog will bark for a long period of time"
  • Trulia User
"This is a wonderful place to live and raise a family. It is a nice mix of farms and woods. The taxes are a little steep but worth every penny."
  • Holly.m90
"Parvins state park is a good place to walk with your dog. You aren’t aloud to have dogs at Green branch park though. "
  • Diciccio74
"great neighborhood to live in. highly recommend. great for young and old. good schools, good local food and produce when in season."
  • Ginnyscott
"This is a great place to live. Small and quaint. It has a great school district. It is close to Philly, Delaware, and the shore."
  • TLynch
"You have to have your own vehicle to get to any employer, store or business. There is no bus route or public transportation available for about 2 - 3 miles around. It is mostly farmland, woods and housing."
  • md5
"Quiet, friendly neighbors keep to themselves. Few more places to eat out would be nice. Good mix of families and farms. Close to route 55"
  • Cheryl Sharp
"I have lived here over 15 years and watched it go down hill. This was a beautiful small town till the local trailer parks started with the drugs not to mention our taxes are the highest with the worst roads, no trash collection"
  • Kbroadwater81
"Elmer has a small home feel with great schools and cute Victorian homes. Used to love here and came back. Everyone is nice."
  • crislsoul
"Mobile Home park is hidden in the woods . It is a quiet area. Located near Parvins State Park where there is a lake, Beach area, Cabins and Camping sites, walking trails and Baseball Field, etc, Pavillion area with events , nature walks etc. Also close to route 55 so shopping is convenient . 45 mins from shore points and 30 mins from DE bay and 45 min to Philadelphia. Inexpensive living in a beautiful area. Mild temps with all Four Seasons !"
  • dstump2
"This area is a rural area so there isn't any night life or entertainment value in the area but there is in neighboring communities like Vineland, Glassboro, Turnersville, and Millville all within 20 miles. This is a beautiful area made up of parks and natural areas including lakes. Great schools with dedicated teachers. The tranquility is great for retirees and the schools and community activities make it a good place to raise children. I raised my two children here putting them through the entire school systems and both are outstanding people. One is a lawyer and the other is an author."
  • dstump2
"This is a beautiful community made up of parks, lakes, and farms. Great for outdoor fun like camping, canoeing, hunting and fishing."
  • Dennis S.
"I've lived in this area for 27 years and this is a great area to raise a family. The schools are very good and because the district is small, children are able to participate more than in large areas were limits are placed. This is a rural community where family values are important. The only negatives involve a lack of anything to do at night. Residents must travel elsewhere for entertainment. Also there is no public transportation at all so driving is necessary no matter where you're going. But having a nice community, with open parks and recreational facilities, good schools, good neighbors, and low crime is an easy trade off. "
