9/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageHi! I’m graduating soon and I DO NOT recommend your child to go to this school! Yes it may be clean, and a “ good rated school “ the children are spoiled here, and bullies with no respect. the lunch is also very expensive for just nothing and a small amount of food, fights go on everyday and when students speak out on teachers they never take it into consideration.Student Review2y ago4 Reviews - Newburgh Elementary School

9/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageThis school has belittled my children and myself. Both of my kids have special needs and IEPs and DO NOT receive the supports they are suppose to. When I finally stepped up and realized (on my own) how much of voice I had in their IEPs, the school tried to tell me “it doesn’t work that way”. My children’s teachers have no knowledge in how to address their needs nor do they care to. The school tries to talk down to me at their meeting and even on their IEPs. The school has lied about their progress to me (everything’s fine with others) and I have evidence to prove otherwise. One of my children is getting bullied by peers in and out of school. I now have evidence of that as well. When it was brought to the principles attention, her response was “ignore them”. The peers are now ganging up on my child. My other child who had never had negative feelings towards school is refusing to go every morning because “my teacher is mean, she always gets onto me and I’m stupid”. My child’s speech and OT therapists have heard this recently as well. This breaks my heart!!! I really expected so much better from the schools around here…SHAMEFUL!!!Parent Review3y ago4 Reviews - Castle South Middle School

"I’ve lived in Newburgh for a year and a half since I was 5 months pregnant and absolutely love it. I previously lived here as a child for a few years and loved playing with the neighborhood kids everyday. There’s a very good sense of community and town pride here, and absolutely minimal crime which is amazing knowing when you have a child. "

"Newburgh, is a quiet, friendly town. It is filled with many suburban neighborhoods, making it great for families. Historic downtown is where history meets modern day. It’s filled with many great small businesses located right by the river. Newburgh is a great place to call home."

"We commute during off peak hours. Find a route other than 66, it’s usually congested. Public transportation nonexistent from what I see. "

"They have randomly placed trash cans with baggies to allow you to pick up after your pets. This helps keep people accountable for their pets. "

"neighborhood feels safe and welcoming. downtown area is nice and inviting. has small shops and eateries for nice walks by the river. very quaint and small town feel. located very close to all convenient places needed. the commute to work is ok depending on where you have to drive to. "This subdivision is located close to anything and everything in Newburgh as well as minutes away from Evansville IN where employment is abundant and also, more shopping entertainment. At this subdivision, the entrance is right by the lakes of Old Hickory, which are a great view as leaving or entering the subdivision, and also, this home is right around the corner from Wal-Mart, Eating, all of Newburghs shopping, minutes from downtown Newburgh on the river and close to everything anyone would want or need to go from here. Great neighborhood for a family with or without kids, bus pick-up available at the front of the street and close the Castle Elementary, Castle Middle School and Castle High School. A well built and subdivision which you and your family and pets (with or without can enjoy for a lifetime)."
