We just moved here from NYC and now have three kids in different schools in the district. My 9th grader started at HHS and was welcomed right away. I was nervous about how the kids would be to a city kid, but everyone has been kind and respectful. What really surprised me is how amazing the art program is. They have real classes like Studio in Art, Drawing and Painting, Digital Photography, Computer Art, Fashion Design and Illustration, and AP Art. The kids get to use good supplies, learn real techniques, and even get to show their work at community events. My child comes home excited to talk about what they’re making. It’s not just an extra thing, they really take it seriously here and that means a lot to our family.

As recent transplants from the West Coast, we harbored some trepidation regarding our daughter's inaugural foray into the middle school ecosystem. However, Oldfield has demonstrably exceeded our expectations. The sheer diversity of extracurricular opportunities is remarkable; she has gravitated towards both student government and the coding club, demonstrating a clear affinity for STEM and civic engagement. Furthermore, the athletic and musical programs are robust and well-structured, aligning perfectly with her proclivities. Beyond the plethora of after-school activities, the faculty and staff exhibit a genuine commitment to student development, a factor of paramount importance. We are exceedingly gratified that our relocation culminated in our integration with the Oldfield academic community.

My daughter completed TJL and currently my son is in the school. We are very happy with the education that is provided and all the extra activities. My experience so far has been very positive.

We are very thankful for Washington Drive Primary School. Since we move here from Texas, our son did grow so much. In Texas, it was very hard for him because of bullying, not only from kids but also some parents to parents. As a new family it made us feel very sad and worried. But here and in NY everything is so different. Teachers are very kind, and the school is so welcoming. Families here are very respectful, and we feel like people understand us better. Our son is much happier now. He enjoys school every day and makes many good friends. We see him become more confident and smile more. We are very grateful for Washington Drive School for giving our son such a good place to grow and learn.
