Both of my kids went to this school and loved it. They both made lifelong friends and felt a sense of community and belonging. They had a lot of great teachers and some not so great teachers, but none were horrible. Both participated in the music program and loved the opportunities that gave them. They both said they felt that most of their teachers cared about them and their academic progress. They both said there were very well prepared for high school. Both are proud to have been Bulldogs.

This is a community-based school that provides much more social-emotional support than I expected. My daughter is a sensitive child, and she used to cry a lot during preschool. However, since she started attending this school, she feels secure, included, and comfortable here. The staff and teachers are very supportive, positive, patient, and experienced with kids of different kinds. Additionally, they arrange different special activities each day, such as music, PE, or library time, all with highly specialized teachers. Teachers know how to motivate students. My daughters are excited to attend school every day and passionate about learning new things. The presence of a student counselor is also a bonus; they visit each classroom monthly to educate students about managing their own emotions and mental health. Additionally, the PTA and parent volunteers host fantastic events almost every month, which brings the community and families together. I would confidently say that this school provides a safe and nurturing environment for young students to learn and grow.

There are quite a few teachers that grade the way they want to without normalizing with the rest of the school district nor the state. This affects the admit outcomes for the students as evidenced by the low initial acceptance rate to UW Seattle. UW does not look at SAT scores and therefore grades in AP or other core courses are paramount. This is where Skyline fails its students with the teachers not following common sense. Talk to parents of the 2026 graduating class to see how many got into UW and arrive at your own conclusions.
