Middle school is tough but STMS provides a safe environment. Dr. Marshall, Ms. Reed, teachers, guidance counselors, rescource officers, and each staff member is very caring for their students. The kids at that age can be tough, but my son has flourished academically because of the great teachers who believe in their students, encouraging and motivating them. My son is in advanced classes, and has had great opportunities to be part of the academic challenge team, ambassador program, Beta Club, honors choir, CPA, chorus, robotics, news team and is doing great socially. STMS has amazing teachers where opportunities are provided in technology, music, arts, robotics, etc. If a student has a concern, the principals, guidance counselors and teachers work together to support the students. Communication is great.

I'm a graduate but I went to this school freshman and sophomore year. Absolutely horrible, I was extremely bullied at this school and the teachers didn't do anything but give the kids a slap on the wrist when I reported it. Attendance department is horrible aswell, I had excused absences yet the attendance lady marked them as unexcused and caused me to FA half of my classes both freshman and sophomore year. Most of the teachers also aren't understanding at all, I'm disabled and have trouble walking and my teacher was aware of it. she'd still shut the door on my face after the bell rang even tho I had to walk across the school upstairs to her class causing more pain on my feet and legs. All of those tardies lead to me getting ISS and suspended, a counselor also heard me complaining about said problem one day and I went to the nurse because I was in a lot of pain. This counselor followed me to the nurse and told the nurse that I was faking because I didnt want to go to class. This got so bad that it lead to me switching schools.

All of my children were brought up through Mt. Holly and my youngest will begin next school year. The staff and teachers are all personable and genuinely care for the advancements of our children. They have a wonderful Arts and Drama program, as well. My oldest son was contacted by the states Governors school of Arts when he reached middle school... this wouldn't have been possible without Mt. Holly.
