I am a substitute teacher who has been teaching frequently at this school. This would be my first choice of elementary school in area for many reasons. First, the teachers are very caring and nurturing. It just feels good when you walk into the school. The Principal and teachers have created a safe, creative learning environment for kids to grow. There are boundaries the kids need desperately; and they are working hard achieving great things. But it seems effortless by the school faculty. There are so many other professionals at the school working hard everyday to make the children successful in school and in life. My 'bucket' is full everyday I walk into Loyalsock Valley. It is an experience your children don't want to miss. I can't believe there is a school with so many great people under one roof. It is a blessing in our small community. It would be a great honor for this school to be recognize as the diamond in the ruff.

The district spends excessive amounts of money (around $40,300) on things, such as magnetic phone pouches, that could have been put towards substitute pay, better education resources for students and teachers, food, educational activities, etc. The district had already purchased phone holders for classrooms 2-3 years prior that teachers themselves refused to enforce. It wasn’t a united front, but spending money was not the solution. Focussing on accountability and making sure the teachers are united would have been a much better solution and gotten way less people upset and scared.Education is honestly pretty good, the teachers themselves are amazing people and educators. It is administration and the district that are the problem.

It is a wonderful school including a great education!
