Old 58 Road - This little hobby farm is close to Cessna, Independence Community College, and just a few miles from Independence. This fixer-upper farmhouse was built in 1910 and needs some renovating and repairs. and needs some work to restore to it's former glory. The house features living room, dining room, one bedroom, and eat-in kitchen, laundry, and the bathroom with shower. Upstairs features two rooms or could be two bedrooms. It can be a great project for hobby farmers who enjoy DIY renovations and want to create their own unique living space. Part of the property is crossed fenced pipe railing for cattle and other types of livestock. The big barn is in fairly decent shape with steel beams and an upper story as well. It has concrete floors in the main part of the barn. Two other buildings are on the property as well (smoke house) and a shelter for animals. On the east side of the property you will find a large area for a big garden. Roof was replaced 5 to 6 years ago with new sheeting and shingles. House does need new wiring and the septic is "as is" but it does have rural water.
