"We donโ€™t have events, but we all know each other and visit with each other and watch out for each otherโ€™s houses"
  • Trulia User
"No commute as I work from home; there isnโ€™t much traffic around here as itโ€™s a quiet town. Youโ€™ll find some neighbors walking in the evening to get some exercise."
  • Trulia User
"Itโ€™s so boring to live here. I donโ€™t know why anyone would ever live here as thereโ€™s no opportunity for anything besides being bored and wasting your life away. Donโ€™t live here if you can help it"
  • Burgess.marianne55
"My neighborhood a great and safe .Living here is fantastic there lots of parks walkways . Great for kids."
  • Antonio E.
"I like the neighborhood but I donโ€™t like the stupid rules they have because why as an owner of a house you have to ask for permission to do something on your own house? "
  • Tre N.
"The commute to almost anywhere is fast moving and barely ever any traffic to or from work or school or just the grocery store "
  • Janetalspaugh1917
"There is a dog park with an obstacle course within a mile of my house. Downtown is very dog friendly!"
  • Brandiโ€™s
"I live four miles from the base I work at.Nice roads you just ha s to want h out for deer. Albemarle is a pretty place with lots of city and-community volunteers. Pretty place"
  • Sarah W.
"There is some public transport, to get you to local shops, hospital, library etc. I commute an hour for work. Albemarle is a quiet little town, however it has a great hospital, drive in movie theater, a couple of very nice restaurants and a few chain eateries. "
  • M E
"Depending on the area of Albemarle, it's a great place to live. The Downtown Developers are really trying to build something that everyone can love and enjoy. So far, there's just a few things here and there to catch, and you can only catch them if you're lucky. The people here typically are nice, mostly everyone knows everyone, so if you're new, they'll try to get to know you...if you're okay with that, everything will be alright. Like I said, it really is a nice place to live, if you're living in the better parts."
  • Mercedes L.
"Iโ€™ve lived in albemarle on and off for years . Itโ€™s always a go to place and I enjoy being home due to the fact that itโ€™s close to family .Everyone is friendly and I love it. The community is well put together and somewhat safe."
  • Emma R.
"Moved here 30 years ago on a temporary move. Have never wanted to leave. Lake Tillery about fifteen miles long, does not have a full first row of homes and few second row homes except for gated lake communities. There is an abundance of nature with the north quarter of the lake enjoying Morrow Mountain State Park to the west and the Uwharrie Mountains and National Forest to the east. These areas should remain untouched. It is not unusual to see Eagles and Osprey at rest and "fishing" while I'm enjoying my breakfast. Great lake for boating, skiing, and a fisherman's paridise. "
