  • Freddie
"Dog owners would not like the lack of side walks to create a truly walkable and safe for pedestrians community. "
  • Ashley W.
"Decent neighborhood kid friendly and the commute to downtown is less than 20 minutes . I have lived here for the past three years with my family of five. The schools nearby are great! "
  • Terrance B.
"There are many families in this area, but it’s not a decent area. Most people who live here have been in the area for years and others live here because it’s less expensive. The area is slowly up and coming. Also the school systems have low ratings. "
  • Lovelylisak
"I haven’t lived here long, but so far it’s nice and friendly, never worried about dogs, Realter wasn’t very nice moving soon"
  • Jennifer R.
"my neighborhood is pretty quiet close to shopping. great for biking. close to public transportation "
  • Amanda V. D.
"there are sidewalks to take walks on and a well kept playground. There’s also a neighborhood association that puts on activities a few times a year."
  • Lindsey H.
"Traffic ridden but could be worse. I love living in this house but crime has gotten very very bad. I believe it’ll be in its prime in a few years."
  • Adhmcl
"We like it here. It's like the nearer in neighborhoods used to be. Cool, down to earth, quirky. You can own a cute little house with a yard for less than it costs to rent in Midtown. Nice feeling of community."
  • Adhmcl
"We like living here, and being close to Decatur, Avondale Estates, and Oakhurst (at a much more affordable price.)"
  • Napoleon A.
"They could walk their dog ... there is no dog park in the area ... the community accept dogs within the neighborhood "
  • Antonio
"The neighborhood is very family oriented. With long time residents meeting and mingling with new residents. If you take the time to know your neighbor you will not regret it. "
  • Jennifer T.
"I've only been here a year, but everyone I've met here is friendly. I rather the bus to Kensington station and is very convenient. "
  • Dfitz73
"There is a good amount of crime in the area. Don’t recommend walking around at night, especially alone. "
  • Unspecified
"I lived here for five years and they run the stop sign like crazy and speeding down the street with they noisy car "
  • Andrea M.
"Up and coming place to live . The schools are not that great and I think if they want to continue the rise of this neighborhood they are going to need to do something about the schools. "
  • Brittany O.
"Not the safest area for children to be unattended outside without an adult. Also lots of break ins in the area. "
  • Garth H.
"ok i do like what i see as far by driveing around it there are speed bums and stop sign nice community come and live"
  • Andrea M.
"Great up and coming place to live , the schools need work but thats all of dekalb mostly. I like Decatur a lot it has improved so much over the past 10 years that I have been here "
  • Unspecified
"There’s a stop sign on Peachcrest and Pinehill nobody stop for and cars just be speeding down any of the streets. But other than that nice neighborhood. "
  • C. R. J.
"Somewhat quiet but hear gun shots a lot, good news is the area selling more houses and it's becoming more of a mixed neighborhood. "
  • Marvin C.
"not a very good neighborhood. crime, gun shots all the time. crackheads in your yard. also mail thefts. may be ok if you have no choice. "
  • Nickenstheo26
"Great Neighborhood able to walk around freely and with your kids at hand and pet to walk with as well "
  • Ceritaj
"Crime rate is high. The curb appeal is not a concern The school system is terrible It’s slowly turning Not may restaurants, "
  • Garnerkandice
"I would say when we would have the Caribbean festival in May. All the streets would be shut down and everyone would be able to enjoy the festival "
  • Powermoves123
"Minutes away from downtown Decatur and minutes away from downtown Atlanta, the Beltline, restaurants, parks and shopping districts. "
  • Stacy m.
"I have lived here for 3 years . I feel safe in this neighborhood. I can leave my car unlocked and no one has entered it . "
  • Powermoves123
"The neighborhood is close to downtown Atlanta and close to downtown Decatur and there are plenty of parks, restaurants and things to do in the area. Lots of nice people live here and the neighborhood is growing rapidly."
  • Carla
"I have lived here for 6 years. The area has really improved since I first moved in and I see no sign of the improvements stopping. Police have a visible presence in the area. There is a park very near the house, where kids are often playing til the sun goes down. The neighbors are quite and respectful of each others space. The Marta stop is at the end of the street, which you can see from the house. There are many new business coming to the area. Location can't be beat, you are close to 285 and 20, you can get to downtown Decatur in 10 mins and downtown Atlanta in 20. You are close to everything! "
  • bcoalk1012 g. c.
"I moved into my house in 2013 I had many reservations about the area but have come to find out that everything I had previously thought was exaggerated or false. I am 10 minutes from Virginia Highlands and 7 to downtown Decatur. All my neighbors have been very helpful in getting to know the area. Everyone walks there dogs and children are always playing.. This is an up and coming diversified area and I feel that I made a great choice for me and my family."
