  • Trulia User
"Hollywood from my excursion is an active diverse community. There are a plethora of bars, restaurants, hotels, and other tourist attractions that define Hollywood’s illustrious entertainment scenic environment."
  • Trulia User
"My commute is always bad, no matter what time of the day it is. Is always Los Angeles traffic. Hopefully this changes in the near future. "
  • Itsbrittneynotspears
"Excellent, I am central to most everywhere I want to go. I work downtown and can get there in 10 minutes driving or 30 minutes using public transit."
  • Charlo.lee
"This area is really close to everything. Easy access to silverlake and echo park. lots of great food! "
  • Rayrayraykim
"It’s not so safe for young kids. School rating is also very low. The area is for young people with decent salary. "
  • Adavenport425
"nearby parks are unsanitary and overrun by homeless people, watch out for broken glass on the ground and used needles on the sidewalks"
  • Esmereldadiaz
"There are many people walking dogs in the evenings! There are small and big dogs so all dogs are welcomed"
  • Jason Y.
"it is fine to commute from downtown Los angeles. it is located before korea town area which always have jammed traffic. it is located at very convenient area which is at middle from downtown los angeles and Hancock park where wealthy area is located. ex"
  • Fabiola S.
"Lots of drug dealers, drug addicts and crime, package thieves, homeless people. I would definitely not raise children here. The teenagers here always hang out in the alley to do drugs and are very bad examples. "
  • Archie M.
"We do not have any special events in this area. Gang activities seem to be a daily occurrence in this area now."
  • Archie T.
"Great public access, petty crime is a bit high though. Just be vigilant specially when you’re in the public area."
  • Weiweichien
"It’s a very bad neighborhood, highly not recommended. Very noisy, and a lot of robbery going on in the area. Parking lots has a lot of break ins "
  • David H.
"There are a lot of dangerous dogs, some owners don’t do well with keeping them leashed. A few months back one got out and attacked my neighbors dog while on a walk."
  • Ji C.
"there are lots of tents homeless living in at the street out there, you need to aware of that, but good things to know that there are lots of choices of school near here koreatown, and most errands can be done by walking at this area."
  • Thee person
"The people who moved here within the last 3yrs dont pick up after their dogs. Silverlake park is closeby. There are rats now in the neighborhood so watch what your dog tries to eat at night. "
  • Kate.C
"Lots of people in the area have dogs, but there are a lot of dog owners that don’t pick up after their dogs poop. The Silver Lake dog park is a short drive away, so that’s nice! "
  • Lance
"Numerous bus stops and walking distance to both the purple and redline. Close to the free way and traffic is bearable most of the time."
  • Mmrayraym
"It’s quiet and for the most part people pick up but there are a lot of homeless people and not much grass space so if your dog is ok with sidewalk your good (mines a city dog ) also be careful when people say dog park cause my apartment did and it was literally an ally with broken glass ? "
  • Lisbeth R.
"Very nice place good people neighborhood friendly and helpful parking everywhere I live there about 8 years and it’s really good place to live "
  • Sammy
"Many people walk their dogs. It feels welcoming. There are a couple parks within walking distance of my area as well"
  • Jericaprada
"Centrally located close to Hollywood and DTLA. Urban so be careful with your belongings. Overall love the neighborhood."
  • Jessica A.
"This is definitely not the neighborhood to raise your kids. I moved to this neighborhood when I was 5; I will be turning 50 in a few months. Back then there were plenty of kids in the neighborhood to play with. Over time, I saw those numbers dwindle. When you look around you now, you don’t see any kids at all and the demographics are ages 45 and up. The worse part is the parking! Neighbors actually fighting with each other over parking! The problem? Too many apartments around the area, and more are being built. What was once a quiet street is now plagued with cars constantly driving through and some over speed right through. I just listed my house for sale. It’s about time."
  • Hugosaurusrex
"Busy intersections, some owners don’t pick up after themselves the street is not the cleanest for dogs to eat things off the ground."
  • Carlos L.
"Proximity to many areas , location is great. Close to downtown, sunset, 20 mins from the grove . Whilshire is nice "
  • Cahuilla
"This area is turning into more apartments Beverly blvd is changing for he better Starting with graffiti alley and now a new speak easy Still have the great sushi restaurant "
  • Chris R.
"I have lived in the same neighborhood for 13 years. I love this area. It’s safe and very welcoming here. You can go for walks with your dog and feel safe "
  • DO N. M. H.
"This is a terrible neighborhood. There is gang graffiti and gang members every 5 feet, and your car will get broken into nightly. Do not move here. "
