Very secluded. Private road / driveway is 1.25 miles long through the woods on a power line easement. Under deck storage for ATV's, ect.
House built in 2008. Sat vacant until 2011 when we bought it. Opened up the driveway area and put down 165,000 lbs of stone to make a parking area. 12 dump truck loads of top soil spread and planted grass. New stove and microwave in the kitchen. Screened in deck on the back of the house finished last fall. All the comforts of home are included with this property as we were planning for retirement or bug-out location. 2x6 walls really keeps the temp constant in the house for minimal heating or cooling. House has been converted to LED lighting and every thought given to running on minimal power if needed. Although house can be ran off grid, there is 100 amp grid power, phone line with 10Mb DSL internet and DishNet TV. Internet accessible thermostat to monitor or adjust before you get there.
House is heated via the outdoor boiler or propane furnace with newly installed central air. Abundant hard wood supplies to fuel the outdoor boiler on property. Has not been select for cut for 25 years. Cool / Dry basement with poured wall foundation. House built as walkout basement on level ground, then half buried, eliminating any water issues in basement. Two installed Liberty vaults in basement to keep what you have from leaving. 1500 watt PV Array w/ 2-120vac & 1-220vac inverters to power the house including the well & AC. Two - 500 gal propane tanks, Screened deck, 8ft diameter fire pit. Connecting trails to all major ORV trails in the area. Deer, Turkey, Coyotes and Black Bear in area. 12 miles to Munising, 45 miles to the airport in Marquette. Location is quiet and secure on a private lane that can be kept open year round.

"It's a tourist town. Not all jobs are available all year round. some close in between winter and fall, and winter and spring. There isn't a lot of housing here either, because the people that own homes, get permits to rent their rentals to the tourists, for a day or week at a time, for more money for the rental."

"We have the Pictured Rocks National Lakeshore, and several waterfalls, and some lighthouses. We also have boat rides including the Pictured Rocks Boat Cruise, the Glassbottom Shipwreck Cruise, the Riptide Boat Cruise and a newer Pirate Cruise. Also have golf, miniature golf, bowling and Kewadin Casino in Christmas, MI."
