  • Angie Fetzer
"I’m unaware of community events in this area.. close to Mall and restaurants.. lots to do. Hope this helps."
  • Lashondaman
"We have lived here for about a year and a half now and so far it has been peaceful. Hopefully, the community stays the same with all of the new buildings being built."
  • Farmer623
"I lived here for 46 years. It’s quiet and it seems like younger people are moving in now. There are not many children to play with like there were when my children were small."
  • Mcnyttvjb9
"Lived here for 8 years. Love Johnson city. Great place. Good food and places to hangout or check out. Nice people. Great college town. "
  • Helen.FT
"We moved here 3 weeks ago as my husband relocated with his job. We are close to everything. We have a brand new home in a nice and quiet neighborhood. People here are very friendly. "
  • Eric Clark
" The parks are pet friendly, and most dog owners pick up after their dogs. I don’t know about other neighborhoods though."
  • Farmer623
"It’s quiet and feels safe. It’s gone from a community with lots of kids to a community with older people for the most part."
  • 95bsr7mjs4
"we could use more of those doggy bag stations along the sidewalks. they would like that the sidewalks are well kept and clean "
  • Trulia User
"The founders park yearly lighting of the tree it is so fun ans great to take pictures the free park is great as well"

  • Gilbert Grape
"It’s a quiet neighborhood. Everyone seems to keep to themselves. Kids are nice and don’t cause trouble. Seems safe as long as I’ve been here. "
  • Trulia User
"We have both worked from home/remotely since 2020 so we no longer commute north. The neighborhood is great for working from home and the internet speeds are optimum for our professional and our personal use. "
  • Trulia User
"it's pretty rural, so there aren't too many "community events". we do have a very tight community spirit though. "
  • Trulia User
"I guess all in all its like most other neighborhoods any more. You have your good and bad. There is a elementary school down the road. There is a college a couple of gad stations and a dollar store so a few conveniences but it is busy on the main road. The local volunteer fire department is very active and seem friendly. The crime rate locally does seem higher but I think it is increasing everywhere. People seem to leave you alone if you don't bother them maybe if you socialized they would but I don't have kids so I can't speak on that."
  • Judyabel43
"I've lived here in this neighborhood and area all my life and it's so convenient to walk to the VA hospital and kawanis Park and Church and restaurants and shopping is so close and people are veryfriendly and I walk to the park and store with my grandson and pet and neibors watch out for others and have fun at kawanis Park and lots of festivities from ballgames to fireworks and different things. I've ran all over the neighborhood even in the middle of the night chasing my doggie when she gets out and feel safe."
  • Judyabel43
"I've lived here in this area my whole life and it's very convenient to walk to the park and stores and friendly and I love this location and it's next to the VA hospital and kawanis Park and Church and restaurants and shopping and people that watch out for you and places to watch ballgames and places for your children to play and watch the fireworks and etc and easy access to work and the hospital and everything "
  • Trulia User
"The commute is very nice. There are local stores within walking distance. The transit is right in the neighborhood."
  • Trulia User
"There are excellent schools and a lot of good playgrounds here. Lots of sidewalks and the neighborhood is mostly one way so you don’t have to worry as much about traffic"
  • Mpmorand
"Trick or treat, community yard sale, movie shows during summer, concerts during summer.and fall. Very safe."
  • KWB
"Close to a bus line and within walking distance of downtown and the mall. Less than a mile to expressway access. "
  • Antanina H.
"Traveling from the North side of Johnson City to the South side of JC takes only 13 minutes without heavy traffic and minimal traffic lights."
  • Razmom

  • Shelby.baso
"There are lots of college students and young adults in the area. Most of us keep to ourselves but you’ll see the occasional person walking a dog or going for a jog. Perfect amount of neighborly interaction."
  • Antanina H.
"There are various events held downtown on occasion as well as Founders Park and the Johnson City Mall. This year, Trunk or Treat will be held at the mall this month for the kids."
  • Dan M.
"I’ve lived here most of my life. Johnson City is a great place to live and raise children. Smaller town, so you must be willing to commute for most cultural events. Very safe."
  • Honeybee
"it has buses and bicycle routes that seem safe, they are some trails as well..dog parks, good enough parking"
  • Sherri K.
"Close to trails to take your dog for long walks on. Many of the residents I know in the area are pet owners. "

  • Jaina E.
"Dogs roam free. Cars drive too fast if dogs get loose. It’s not safe at all for dogs. There is a dog park close by though. "
  • Emily H.
"We have holiday decorating events, multicultural events, live music, festivals, and lots of beautiful scenery"
  • Margaret M.
"Near the high school so on the Fourth of July you can go watch fireworks. Our neighbors look out for us. "
  • Jennifer H.
"This neighborhood is very family friendly. We have parks close enough to walk to and sidewalks with street lights for playing and dog walking. It is a very friendly community of professional people with a wonderful medical system. "
  • Amy_e_hayes
"Great neighborhood for walking dogs. I see my neighbors daily on walks or runs. Good sidewalks. Good local parks. "
  • Jennifer H.
"The neighborhood is safe and many people run and walk. Very nice neighbors. Two big parks near by Kiwanis and Rotary. "
  • Gumbeauxconstructionllc
"It's a great place to raise kids. The schools system is pretty advanced. There are many schools to choose from and depending on your location, is how to decide on your home "
  • Nathan B.
"Great place to raise a family but the schools can be lacking. Johnson City is very high in restaurants and medical care jobs, but lacks a good diverse range of businesses to have a career at."
  • Gcecil0507
"Mixed levels of socioeconomic status in the neighborhood. Lots of children and dogs. Low crime rate. "
