8/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageWorst school ever. My daughter started school here and they refused to work with her in the areas where she struggled. Teachers would belittle her for not understanding the content and had no response when questioned and then isolate her away from everybody even when given the paperwork stating she has a very bad hyperactivity problem and expect it to get better. Bullying here is VERY BAD both from the students and TEACHERS, we have called many times and nothing was ever done. But when she sticks up for herself she gets in trouble!!! The principal is the worst of all, lie to your face and have law enforcement interrogate an under age minor WITH OUT EVEN NOTIFYING THE PARENTS. Be smart, be safe, we pulled our daughter and now do homeschooling where she is excelling. I do not recommend this school for any parent who value their children.Parent Review1y ago9 Reviews - Mark Twain Elementary School

5/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageBoth of my daughters go here and we’ve had an AMAZING experience. The teachers are truly incredible. The principal is outstanding at his job. He leads the school with a wonderful energy and truly cares about the students. I’m extremely happy with our experience at Mark Twain.Parent Review1y ago8 Reviews - Parkview High School

4/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageI am a current student in my sophomore year of high school. My freshman year was horrible until I got a 504 to let me listen to music during independent work and due to the cell phone law because put in place they made it to where I can't have wireless earbuds and I can only have noise cancelling headphones. For me the teachers were really great I love all my teachers and staff some might say otherwise but they are truly great. But back to the 504 it's hard with lunch and not wanting to set a playlist and just regroup and reset like this cellphone law is actually stupid. But with the caos of lunch I can barely stay in the lunch room without having a panic attack and that is just not the environment I want to be In. The bullies are horrible Im in the Snapchat story and I accidentally posted something one day and people just had so many rude things to say like that's not appropriate and not on the school story either. For learning there are some teachers that just don't care and let you goof off like they don't care cause they are getting payed. With the cellphone law they are just hurting students because they are more worried about devices and other things than actual threats like bullying break ins school shootings and the drug sales and they are worried about phones what the actual heck. But all I can say is they are creating an environment that is toxic full of bullies and fights. For the safety I was in general bio today and a fight broke out all because someone said shut up and another said what are you gonna do about it and a girl stepped in an tried to separate them trying to do the right thing and instead she got in trouble for not letting the teachers handle it like that's not right there was not a teacher in the room and she gets in trouble. And lastly the fact they are more worried about phones than actual threats and serious things is appalling and the school board needs to get their priorities straight and stop worrying about phones. Like yes you can limit them but their is no way that they are going to suspend you for having your phone eventually they have to give up on the law because I think it's absolutely stupid. Also kids with ieps and 504s will get accommodations after you literally have to fight with the school and even then teachers don't follow them at all like they just ignore them like last year I had my earbuds in during independent work mind you and the teach called me outDo not recommend send your kids somewhere elseStudent Review6mo ago13 Reviews - Check out schools near 3358 S Cottage Ave.

"I have loved living at South Valley Apartments. They are located in a very safe, quiet, and convenient location. They are very well priced comparatively. I like the fact that the complex is gated. They have also been recently renovated and look very nice. Maintenance has been pretty timely, and they have communicated very well regarding that. Amy is very communicative as well. She will send out messages about people losing pets asking for help to find them, maintenance going on, etc. I would highly recommend checking out these apartments for anyone looking. "

"This is my first year being here. Except for the construction next door, it's been very quiet and peaceful place to live. I haven't had to use maintenance, which is nice. The only thing I might change is improving the quality of building materials inside the apartments. None of my doors sit square in the frames except the front door. "

"I love how quiet and safe it is here, and Maintenance hasn't been the best. I would like to be more informed when there's new staff here. I've lived here for 6 years now and I love it here. The pool is nice now that it's done with construction, and lastly, the parking lot at Catalpa needs fixing, with lots of holes."

"Overall, Its a very affordable place to live, no issues with neighbors and incredibly convenient location wise. The neighborhoods great, never feels unsafe to walk. You do live near the train tracks so there is slight noise but you end up not even noticing it anymore. Any issues ive had are about the same you'd run into with any apt complex. Emergency maintenance has also been fast when needed. I.E. for air conditioners breaking during summer, etc. "

"Overall, this has been a great and safe place to live, and the staff responds when needed. I've been here for 6 years now, and maintenance is very responsive, but could be better. The grounds are very pretty with all the trees, and the train tracks are very soothing."

"Overall, this is a nice place to live, and the location is in a good area. The grounds are really well-maintained. Maintenance can take a little longer than expected to get things fixed, but when there is a tech on site, they usually get to it pretty quickly. And I have lived here for about 6 years now, and this place is very pet-friendly."
