"my neighborhood is the great neighborhood I don't mind my kids hanging around with other kids everything's nearby and my family lives around and I grew up here"
  • Trulia User
"There are no sidewalks or street lights, however the neighborhood is quiet and safe for walking a dog."
  • Trulia User
"Julia Keen is one of the most racially and ethnically diverse neighborhoods in all of Tucson. We interact and get along very well. It's a well established neighborhood with many long term residents. We are just south of Reid Park and Zoo which is the largest and nicest park in all of Tucson yet Julia Keen is far more affordable than the other neighborhoods adjoining Reid Park to its north, east, and west. We're far more diverse than those neighborhoods which better reflects the Tucson's culture and population. "
  • Daseymouraz
"Bike path location, nice friendly neighborhood to live. I feel safe here. Easy access to downtown and midtown. "
  • Daseymouraz
"Easy access to aviation hwy, ideal location to get anywhere in town. Bike path will take us to 4th avenue downtown."
  • Daseymouraz
"Community farm located in the neighborhood and we are on the Aviation bike path. Neighborhood feels safe and has good people."
  • Bianca L.
"this is a very dog friendly neighborhood. people walk their dogs all the time and help out if any get loose."
  • Felicitas O.
"The area is just amazing!! Love the park and zoo being so close by to my house walking distance.. I love watching our military fight planes fly over our house! And everyone in the neighborhood is friendly we all look out for each other."
  • Felicitas O.
"The park is close by. You can take dogs kids to the park.. it’s not all that great during Halloween but the neighborhood is amazing!!"
  • Jesus C.
"I've had nothing but horrible experiences with this neighborhood. The neighbors called the cops on us just for looking at a home from the street. They constantly cause problems and neighborhood drama for absolutely no reason. Sad part is it's more then three different neighbors. If you want some privacy STAY AWAY!"
  • Chuck Curry
"I bought a house in 2010, then moved to Texas for 4 years in 2012. I missed this neighborhood all that time, and when I had the opportunity to come back, I did. This neighborhood is safe, quiet and just the right distance (not too close, not too far) from downtown, the campus, Davis-Monthan and of course all the lovely wilderness. My neighbors are friendly, and look out for each other, and many are log term. The neighborhood is diverse and welcoming. A great place if you speak English or Spanish or both! I am from California and my wife is from Mexico. We have two dogs spend a lot of time in the yard and at Reid Park. Neither of us have ever felt unsafe or unwelcome. And yet with all of this, the neighborhood remains very affordable. I would like to see a coffee shop, but other than that, I believe Julia Keen neighborhood is a hidden treasure. I hope it stays that way!"
  • Chuck Curry
"I bought my home here in 2010 and the neighborhood has gotten better every year. Many diverse young families are moving in, taking advantage of the lower prices and great opportunities to bring solid old houses back to life. Most of the homes are well kept and many yards are very nicely maintained. Many people are putting a lot into curb appeal and xeriscaping. Buying in this neighborhood is the best decision I have ever made!"
  • Chuck C.
"I used to live here. Just a few blocks from the park (with two dog parks), bandstand, zoo, golf course, rose garden...All walking distance. On the other side of the golf course is the El Con mall. Banking, shopping, dining, Target, Home Depot (my favorite) and lots of specialty shops. Close to downtown, close to the Air Force base. Mellow neighborhood. "
