  • Amy H.
"I've lived on the East side for 27 years, it's not really unique, but I do love the fact that you can walk to the library, police station, utilities office, post office, elementary school, Central Park, lions park, the local stores, and the fire station. The firemen are always so awesome with kids when you walk up there, they let the kids see the trucks and let them inside of them. I love the "small town" feeling. Lake Alfred has always been older people (retirees) and in the past 5-10 years with the development of new homes we've seen more kids. I just wish the city could do more program for the children, we seriously lack in that department. "
  • Teresa O.
"not all streets have sidewalks but very safe neighborhood. Good schools with great teachers and staff. "

I-4 is only 10 minutes away for E-W travel plus US27 is only 5 minutes away for N-S travel. Homestead exemption for a couple is $50,000 of assessed value keeping property taxes low.
