4/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageMy son attended Grimes for two years & it was the worst educational experience. While his 3rd grade teacher was great, everything else was horrible. My son was bullied, I made a claim on the MVCSD website, never heard back, and it was never addressed. When I spoke with the teacher directly, she had NO IDEA what was happening in her own classroom. There were 2 situations where the school had to go on lockdown due to shooting or gun involvement, one which occurred in the school playground. The final semester, his teacher was out for maternity leave, when I received his final report card, his 3rd marking period was blank except for PE and Art. I guess since the teacher was out, they didn't think educating and testing the students was important? If you have a choice, DO NOT CHOOSE GRIMES. I would have given one star, but his 3rd grade teacher was very good. My son has since moved to the local charter school and loves it.Parent Review2y ago - Denzel Washington School-Arts
