"It’s a beautiful place to live and is close to all necessities. Nice park and good school system. It has a country feel but is still 30 minutes or less from all services/shopping centers in the busiest part of Vermont."
  • Hannah C.
"There are a lot of opportunities for celebration and fun throughout the year, especially at holidays. Most events are free and great for the entire family! "
  • Kejcent
"Milton is a great up and coming town. It's not far from a gas station or grocery store but you can travel a couple miles and be in a remote part of the town. it's a good place to raise children. the schools are good."
  • Stephanie D.
"Easy commute to pretty much anywhere in the county/neighboring counties. Has some newly established bus routes close by. Close to all stores/groceries/local restaurants. larger lots."
  • Brianaknutson98
"Boring, kids are rude, neighbors are rude. Nothing to do really want to live somewhere else. Really cold. "
  • Stephanie D.
"Very animal friendly neighborhood. Almost every house has a decent sized yard. Many dogs are walked in my neighbirhood and surrounding ones. If anyone sees a stray they try to help get them home. Animal control is great here."
  • Earl T.
"I live here, its great! Not far to great food store, about 10-15 minutes. Close to the highway and close to golf, sailing and a good place to raise animals. The VLAC is Vermont Large Animal Clinic, a horse and other animal hospital, right next door!"
  • Christine J. H.
"I live in Milton which I consider to be one of the nicer communities in Vermont because of its forward thinking and that the town is always thinking of the citizens of Milton in building new businesses and community type atmosphere."
  • Lauren
"We have lived in this area for 47 years. It is ideal for raising a family because both elementary and high schools are a 5 - 7 minute walk away. The elementary school is on the same street. No need to transport kids to activities. Shopping center with supermarket is also within walking distance. Town amenities include a recreation park, municipal building with excellent public library, Family Practice Medical Facility, state of the art fire and rescue facilities and fully staffed police force. A short drive to beautiful Lake Champlain and Burlington. "
  • happycamper
"The area is great. Burlington is a 15-20 minute drive away. The high school is terrific-- lots of AP classes, very student-centered. My kids graduated from the high school and went to great colleges and have been very successful. The community pulls together wonderfully for events and in cases of need or emergency. The town is getting a brand new grocery store and the middle of town is getting an upgrade. This town is certainly not for an elitist, but if you like a community with a good cross-section of society, this is it. Home prices are good, and you can still get land or a house in a neighborhood if you wish. Don't let the skeptics fool you-- Milton is a diamond in the rough :)"
  • Christine J. H.
"Milton is one of the most family oriented towns I have seen since moving to Vermont. "
  • Ann B.
"live here -its a great community they always pull together when someone is in need. Lots going on at the Rec park, there are tennis courts in walking distance its on the CCTA bus route and special services transportation runs through her also. You have a grocery store, 2 hardware stores, dentist, doctors, really no reasons to leave the town on the weekend!! "
