Description

WATER'S EDGE COLONIAL WITH RESERVOIR VIEWS IN CLINTON TWP.

A stately brick front Colonial in Clinton Township's sought-after Water's Edge neighborhood shows pride of ownership throughout. The upgraded Newbury model set on about 0.23-acre of landscaped property offers views of the Spruce Run Reservoir from the rear yard. Inside, an open floor plan presents four bedrooms and three-and-one half baths plus an attached two-car garage.
Highlights of this residence include gleaming oak hardwood floors on the first level, a stone wall gas fireplace, traditional moldings, recessed lighting, high ceilings, numerous, additional windows through-out upgraded from builder stock to Anderson and a rear staircase. Outdoor amenities such as a free-form 700-square foot paver patio, spacious cedar deck, and professionally lighted and landscaped grounds provide an enviable backdrop for warm weather entertaining.
The elegant introduction to this home begins in a foyer fitted with wainscoting and a solid oak turned staircase. Nearby, the formal living room features crown moldings and oak floors set on the diagonal. The formal dining room is designed with wainscoting, crown moldings, a chandelier and French doors to the deck for outdoor meals.
A custom-designed chef's kitchen offers upgraded cherry cabinetry, blue pearl granite countertops, a center island, ceramic tile backsplash and tile flooring. Top-of-the-line stainless steel appliances include Wolf double convection ovens, 36-inch six-burner Wolf professional grade gas cook-top, Wolf Professional Series exhaust hood, Samsung dishwasher, a 48-inch Sub-Zero refrigerator, Sub-Zero wine cooler and Sub-Zero ice maker. This spacious eat-in kitchen also offers an expanded breakfast nook with added square footage, a pantry closet and recessed lighting.
Adjoining the kitchen is a towering great room, where a stone-faced gas floor-to-ceiling fireplace is flanked by tall transom-topped windows. Additional details include oak floors and a cathedral ceiling. A private den makes a perfect study or computer room; it has a closet with built-in organizers and recessed lighting.
Upstairs, a generously-sized master bedroom suite provides a walk-in closet with wardrobe organizers, a sitting room and an opulent master bath overlooking Spruce Run Reservoir. The bath features a soaking tub and separate shower with seamless glass door. A secondary bedroom suite connects to a private, full bath, while two additional bedrooms share a full bath in the hallway. There is also a second story bonus room accessed by a rear staircase which overlooks the great room below. Completing the upstairs is a laundry room featuring a closet fitted with organizers.
An unfinished lower level has high ceilings for future living space. The attached two-car garage features oversized, electric doors and finished walls using an integrated Rubbermaid Fast-Track storage system.
Sited on the premium lot backing up Spruce Run Reservoir, the grounds are professionally landscaped and lighted. Techo-Bloc pavers grace the front walkway, side of house and patio. A side garden and a combination of wood and privacy fencing in the backyard are further outdoor amenities. This home is served by dual units of natural gas heating, central air conditioning, public water and sewer.
Built in 2005, this stunning Colonial has been meticulously maintained by the present owners. A Homeowner's Association handles common exterior maintenance.

"It’s quiet and safe with great schools. There is a lot to do outdoors. And it’s easy to commute from. No nightlife but Clinton and flemington are super close. It costs a lot to life here but seems to be well worth it "
  • Lauren.kane0317
"Lots of space and room for dogs to roam. Must be careful of foxes and coyotes in the evenings at time "

"I live in Union Gap Village just about a mile from downtown Clinton, NJ. The village has undergone many updates (new roofs, paver patios,all-weather carpet, siding, garage doors). The landscaping is being updated steadily to update the look of the village. The dues are kind of high (308.00 a month) however they include everything (water, sewer, snow, garbage & recycling removal, use of the tennis courts, pool, & basketball courts. Basically it's maintenance free living which would be good for young busy professionals, singles, retirees, divorcees, newlyweds (for a starter home) & anyone looking for a quiet & easy life. Since most of the units have 1 or 2 bedrooms, it's nice to know that with some notice one can rent the clubhouse for entertaining larger groups (the clubhouse is roughly 2300 square feet and has a kitchen, a dance floor, big screen TV, iPod dock & stereo system, loads of extra chairs, tables couches & an open floor plan. The community is a nice mix of older residents (some original owners), young couples starting out, divorcees, empty nesters, widows/widowers & young single professionals. It's a friendly community. Downtown Clinton is about 1 mile from the village. An easy bike ride, leisurely walk (past a few scenic ponds & loads of wildlife), or short car ride to the quaint & adorable downtown Clinton. Clinton has a by-gone charm with an lovely yellow truss iron bridge spanning between two museums (The Red Mill and the Hunterdon Art Museum), corner, & riverside cafe's & restaurants, a Belgian chocolatier, a French-style cheese shop, trendy & classic clothing & jewelry boutiques, hi-fi lighting & stereo systems, gourmet restaurants (sushi, thai, mexican, italian) a book shop, pet store, florist, bakery, ice cream stores and old 5 & 10 style store with upscale Melissa & Doug toys, hair, nail & make up boutiques as well as massages/facials all in one town!. Friday nights in summer there is live music. You can also rent a canoe & see Clinton by water!"
