About this House

Brick home at the head of Bayou Davenport with unobstructed deep water access. A 20 minute boat ride to the Gulf of Mexico. Private dock and boat launch on the bayou. The lot is on both sides of E. Sunset Avenue so the front of the home faces the Bayou giving great views from the inside yet the backyard is very private. The ranch style, one story home has 4 Bedrooms, 2 baths attached two car garage, (506 sq ft) plus a 4 car carport. There are two detached buildings. A new storage building (384 sq ft) with high ceilings built in 2019 and a brick over- sized one car garage (384 sq ft). Also there is a second single driveway to the two detached buildings. Park any size RV and/or boat on the long driveway behind the privacy fence. There is a new (2022) covered front porch (8 x 10) with beautiful water view, and a screened back porch. in 2014 the house had major updating which included new kitchen, appliances, cabinets, granite counters and tile floors. The original hardwood floors were refinished. All lighting changed inside and outside, paddle fans added, upgraded electric and plumbing fixtures throughout. There were new water saver toilets, refinished bathtub. All windows were changed to Low E and Impact. Hurricane protected windows and doors. New back and side pedestrian garage doors were installed. Painted inside and out. Limitless hot water with gas tankless water heater was installed. New central HVAC installed in August 2019. Eight foot tall wooden privacy fencing and a huge wooden deck that has three sections. The covered deck, closest to the house, has a gas grill attached to the home's natural gas. There is a walkway deck leading to the back of the lot with another huge deck and pergola with a spa. The home retains the charm of the 1950's knotty pine paneling in the open kitchen dining areas and a real wood burning fireplace adds warmth. Security cameras and motion activated security lights outside. The large lawn has a sprinkler system that saves water because it is on a well. New garage doors, extra strong & insulated. There will be a new roof installed on the house and a carport cover.

My friend lived there and his place was about to be robbed, but his dog scared the burglars away. Also I've heard they robbed the new next door occupant, twice! Took everything. I will not stop until I let everybody know about this bad area. Believe me, the low rent is NOT worth it!"
