  • Franklin
"I’ve been living here for 4 years and I never felt more welcomed in a city, and I’ve been around south central, bellflower, Lakewood, paramount; nothing compares to South Gate. "
  • Mzstnd4q56
"I’ve lived here for more than 30 years, everything is accessible within distance . I enjoy the neighborhood but I’m concerned about the increased traffic and crime rate ."
  • Hannah Brown
"Parks are not safe here. Very dangerous street racing as well. Only my move here if you live in a gated community "

"For the most part livable. Some friendly neighbors and some not so much. Grocery stores and restaurants near by. Unnecessary fireworks at night, lack of parking, and power outages are a major nuisance. "
  • Huskies1230
"There are many families in the neighborhood. For the most part, South Gate is a safe, family-friendly community. However, just like most cities, there are some bad parts but those are very minimal."

"Is quiet but there are some things that not apply to the neighborhood like the parking there’s no space parking and some people’s like to stole"
  • Kenia V.
"Hardly anyone picks up after their dogs. A lot of dog owners walk their dogs early in the morning around the neighborhood "

"The Tweedy Fair and The Tweedy Parade its all fun and games and alot of good vibes with all the people that live here"
  • Glend G.
"Over the past few years, there has been an increase in the homeless population in the city. There are so many package thieves, it's not worth using Amazon unless you will be waiting outside. The streets aren't safe, and even your home isnt safe. Our family left for a week, only to find our home broken into. This includes many stolen car batteries, so it's not worth parking on the streets. Not to mention all of the car accidents in the area."
  • Reyna M.
"it really depends where you live in south gate. some parts are safer and less sketchy. I've lived here for 10 years and it's just full of hard working people trying to make it. "
  • Bridgit S.
"Every since they opened Walmart it's gotten really bad with criminal activity.................. This used to be a really nice place to live...."
  • Diana O.
"I hardly ever see people walking their dogs unless it’s around the park. The neighborhood seems really peaceful especially on the side closer to the 710"
